Seaside Tablescape
Summer is in full force in east/central Kansas...that means lots of heat and humidity! It is that time of week when all the tablescapers meet with Susan of Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday.

I decided to do a beach table here in the center of the country where shorelines are unheard of, unless you count the ones at the few lakes around this area.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you will return often. For more inspiration you can visit all the other tablescapes via the link to BNOTP above.

Who Doesn't Like Lavender and Lime?
This week I decided to do something which I could use lavender from the front yard as the centerpiece...hunted through the dishes and linens to see if there was anything compatible. I found a table runner and napkins with the same colors. The plates, I found tucked into the corner of the dish armoire. I had forgotten about the lavender charger plates I found last fall at Goodwill.
The lime green and white placemats are some that Kathleen of Cuisine Kathleen sent me a couple months ago. I have been itching to use them in a Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch.
The placesetting consists of the lavender charger, a white dinner plate, salad plate, dessert plate and a white and plum saucer which we will use for the rolls.
The saucer has a tiny fruit center.
The glassware is a water/iced tea and a wine stem in amethyst.
Plate rims.
Lavender centerpiece.

Farmhouse Fresh!
I can't believe it is almost time for Tablescape Thursday with Susan of Between Naps On The Porch.
It seems to have been extra busy around here the past few weeks. Hopefully things will be at a slower pace for the next month or so.

This week's table was going to be last week's, but I never got around to getting it set on time. The inspiration came from the gorgeous placemats and matching napkins; both are reversible. I have turned the edge up on one of the napkins so you can see both patterns. I picked them up at Goodwill a couple of month's ago for 59¢ each, so for less than $5 I have a nice matching set. I started with a blue and white checked tablecloth. The flatware is Oneida sterling in the Afterglow pattern; circa 1956.
I was going for a farmhouse look so I used white plates and a blue and white rimmed soup bowl with a rooster. I had started with a yellow rimmed soup bowl, but it was just too much yellow.
I did end up using yellow glassware...the small stem will be used for the wine is King's Crown Indiana Glass and the water stem maker is unknown.
The candlesticks are some I found a year or so ago while out thrifting. The rooster sitting on the orb is from TJMaxx a few years ago. He was popular as I have seen him several times around blogland!
The centerpiece is simply a vase sitting on a couple of old books with three sunflowers.
The entire table.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment...I really appreciate it. Hope to see you back here again, soon.
