I had completely forgotten this was a themed challenged this week at Cuisine Kathleen's. The only fresh things on hand were mangoes, apples and and a handful of sick looking key limes. I don't get fresh veggies until Thursday at the farmers market.
I had my friend SueZ and her sweet mother, Norma, over for lunch today. Sue brought me a beautiful pottery compote and pitcher. The sad looking fruit sure doesn't do justice to the beautiful compote, but I wanted to use it.
The gorgeous tablecloth is one I bought from Linda at A La Carte quite some time ago. It has quite a bit of blue in the embroidery so I hoped it would pick up on the blue of the compote.
The chargers, actually over-sized dinner plates are from Pottery Barn. The dinner plate is Wedgwood's Golden Ivy. I topped that with a brown pottery bowl. Everything was kept very simple.
The glassware is Noritake Provincial.
The napkins are a loose weave linen in a light beige with woven napkin rings from World Market. I also used the champagne handled flatware also from World Market.
Thanks for your visit this week...it is very much appreciated.
I will join a few parties, hope you will check them out also. You never know, you may find something of great interest...I know I do each week!
