I wanted to do a late spring table so I used the fabric below for the color palette. Anything with greens and blues catches my eye. I saw this fabric at Savers a month or so ago and thought it would make a great tablerunner.
Each placesetting began with a natural woven charger topped with a white dinner plate and lime salad plate. I also used a lime for the napkins and napkin rings. The sun is finally out after several days of much needed rain, so this called for a bright, happy table in vibrant aqua and orange. Mother Nature let loose the past week or so...hope she does not forget we still have July and August, that will really need some of that moisture.
The beginnings of the table is this gorgeous table cloth in bright aqua and white that I paired with vibrant Marigenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00313503976938859618noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5093306168972602419.post-12035511120770664232017-04-11T13:28:00.003-05:002017-07-26T13:56:20.837-05:00Easter 2017
I recently acquired a couple more lavender Bordallo Pinheiro dinner plates from eBay...they are rarer than hens teeth! They arrived in time to do an Easter tablescape. I have used all BP china for this table. The pieces include white chargers, lavender dinner, luncheon, salad plates, berry bowls and even a platter that I have used under the centerpiece. I have always used the luncheon plate Marigenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00313503976938859618noreply@blogger.com27tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5093306168972602419.post-27596371868280084522017-03-31T17:06:00.000-05:002017-07-26T13:56:42.008-05:00Spring Tablescape
We have had some really nice spring weather mixed in with some really, really rainy weather. We do need the moisture, but not day after day!
Back a few months ago I found two of the same pattern April Cornell tablecloths at Savers, but different sizes. The colors are perfect for spring so I have used the smaller of the two for this table with solid pink napkins.

Another St. Patrick's Day is sneaking up on us! I am sure you have seen all the dishes in this post many times...but they are the best green I own! I think the only thing new is the tabletopper.

I had to run into Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago and these cute dishes were sitting up front right near the door and somehow jumped into the cart I was pushing! They are perfect for a spring or summer tablescape.

This is the time of year the squirrels are busy running back and forth with nuts in their mouths. I love sitting at the computer watching them scamper back and forth looking for a place to hide their bounty.
I first saw these squirrel plates in an ad on FB, so the next time I was near a Pier One Imports store I ran in and picked up half a dozen. They didn't have the dinner plates that matched.Marigenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00313503976938859618noreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5093306168972602419.post-60990956625696981062016-09-23T15:28:00.000-05:002016-12-03T08:59:52.362-06:00Pumpkin Dishes Are The Best!
I said I was going to do one more summer table, but I have changed my mind. It may still be hot here on the prairie, but I just can't force myself to get summer things out, again! I just want it to cool down enough to open windows and doors, once again.
This table was inspired by a couple things, the tablecloth with all the great fall colors and the pumpkin salad plates.

Everyone seems to be in a hurry for fall to arrive. In reality, it is still hot here on the prairie and probably won't cool down for about another month. I just want it cool enough to open windows and doors for a little while before we have to turn the heat on. We still have our air going full blast!

I bought this blue/green/yellow April Cornell tablecloth at the same time as the aqua/orange one. I think everyone knows, by now, that blue/green is my favorite color combination. There were matching napkins so I bought those, too. I have found that some AC napkins run on the smaller side, so I put them on top of bright green napkins. A bright yellow beaded napkin ring held them together.

I have wanted to do another blue and white table for awhile, today seemed like a good day. My husband gave me this colorful bouquet for our wedding anniversary. He knows I don't care for roses, so he told the girls at the florist shop, "just make it bright, my wife loves lots of color!"
The linens are some I had a friend make for me a couple years ago from a shower curtain. I think by now everyone knows that my favorite color for tablescapes is aqua, I have mentioned it enough times! The inspiration for this table came from an April Cornell tablecloth I found at TJMaxx back when the weather was still cold, can't say snowy, as we didn't get snow this past winter! This is one of my favorite tables, lots of aqua and orange. I really like this tablecloth,Marigenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00313503976938859618noreply@blogger.com21tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5093306168972602419.post-22376462407080240062016-06-07T17:53:00.000-05:002016-12-03T09:01:18.256-06:00Lavender and Roses
The inspiration for today's table came from the Solymod tablecloth made in France. I found it hiding amid some rather ugly tablecloths at Savers back at the end of winter. At first glance I almost walked on by, but I saw a hint of yellow and bluish purple, so I moved the uglies away to see if this was anything I would take home. I was quite surprised to see it was a really pretty one. I found this red, white and blue table linen at Savers a couple months ago. The tag is in either Chinese or Japanese...I am guessing Chinese, though! The piece barely covers the top of the table, so I folded both sides in to make a table runner. With the colors in it, I decided it would be perfect for a Memorial Day tablescape. I forgot to add the red pillar candles between the Marigenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00313503976938859618noreply@blogger.com22tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5093306168972602419.post-60743375950387467022016-05-15T14:41:00.001-05:002016-12-03T09:01:51.792-06:00Sunday Supper Tablescape
I started this table with a sunflower laden table topper. I try to use it a few times a year. I thought the sunny little faces would be good as we are looking at a couple weeks of rainy weather starting later today. The temperatures have dropped about 15° degrees from last week, too. I was just getting used to the warm weather and boom, it dropped down into the low 40°s.

The weeks are flying by or so they seem to me! Here we are into May, already. Before we know it, it will be December!
The peonies are just beginning to blossom so I cut a few and added them to the tulips and alstroemeria I picked up at the grocery the other day. I also cut a couple lilac branches for the greenery. Just a quick hello...I am still around, reading and commenting. I just can't seem to get enthused about doing a table lately.
Here is one I did the other day using new orange Bordallo charger plates. I have a table all set in my mind for later in the summer using them, too.
I really appreciate your visit and comments. Until next time...have a wonderful week.

I was drawn as winner of a nice package from At Home With Jemma/Thoughts Of Home On Thursday a few weeks ago. One of the gifts was a tablerunner made by Jemma. I needed something calming after all the color of the last month with the Easter settings. I found this piece of zebra fabric several months ago to cover a small foot stool. There was more than enough left for a table runner. Right now I just have it folded, not sewn. I am calling this my tribal table!
I pulled out the double sided black and white polka dotted napkins, then started on the Marigenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00313503976938859618noreply@blogger.com24tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5093306168972602419.post-21156012824605730132016-03-20T15:30:00.000-05:002016-04-27T10:29:02.612-05:00Easter 2016
Bordallo Pinheiro's new line of cabbage dishes was my inspiration for this year's Easter table. The new line is called San Raphael. The colors are the same as the "old" cabbage dishes, just the shape has changed. They are almost round, with no separate leaves showing. I found only three of the purple dinner plates after scouring the city of all the Tuesday Mornings. This little bunny sitting on the Easter egg was the beginnings of my tablescape. I saw her in TJMaxx a couple weeks ago and she shopped right into my cart with a couple others from her family! She is holding a little butterfly. I have named her Petey, after my mother.
The tablecloth is Cynthia Rowley and the napkins are Max Studio Home from HomeGoods. I love the soft shades of aqua.

This April Cornell tablecloth is just begging spring to arrive a little early. I know there is more than enough time for lots more winter, even though our temperature is supposed to be in the mid 70s today. I just hope Mother Nature isn't cruel enough to let the lilacs bud out and then drop the temperatures down below zero!
