No, It's Not For Thanksgiving...

I can't believe it is Thanksgiving and Tablescape Thursday with Susan at Between Naps On the Porch. If you want to see some spectacular tables check out Susan's website!

This wasn't our Thanksgiving table... but it was our table for Veterans Day. Simple... red, white and blue plus a big thank you.

Red charger-Umbriaverde-HomeGoods
Red dessert plate-Waechtersbach-TJMaxx
White salad plate-Ralph Lauren-TJMaxx
Blue dinner plate, berry dish, pitcher-Liberty Blue bought in 1976 from grocery store
Cobalt glass-got them at same time as Liberty Blue
Flatware-International Stainless-Amazon
Blue/white placemat-have had for many years, can't recall where I purchased them from... Wal-Mart?
Napkins and napkin rings-Mervyn's many years ago

Hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment, I really appreciate it.

Hi Mimi... thanks for stopping by with your warm wishes... Hope your day was as glorious as mine was... yes, it's a special thing to have our own octogenarian to preside over the holiday venue. We were worried earlier in the year that Dad might not make it to the holidays, but he seems to have recovered just fine, and that, we are truly thankful for!
hugs. Dixie

Hi,
this is my first visit to your blog and it looks I've landed in the middle of somewhere instead. Came across it while doing some blog hopping and must say I love it. Love your table decoration. your blue ironstone transferware pitcher is definitely my fave as i have one like that in red.
I adore English transfeware but unfortunately I only have a few scattered, mismatched, pieces. Will work on that, though!
Have a great weekend and, if you have some time to spare, come and visit my blog @ http://ritashabbychicrose.blogspot.com/
I'll be glad to share a bit of my little world with you.
With warm wishes for a great weekend
Rita

What a great TT! This could work for so many of our nations holidays...July 4th, Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, Labor Day, etc. Very well done!!
I have the same napkin rings as you....and I, too, have had them for years. I wish I had all the pretty dishes you have to go with them, though. :D

fondly,
Rett

Mimi: Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I remember those blue dishes! Copied your soup recipe to my file. It sounds fantastic and with a dusting of snow now in Vermont, I'm ready for more soup!
