Christmas Eve at In the Middle of Nowhere

Another week has flown by, eke, Christmas is upon us...I will be joining our hostess, Susan, at Between Naps On the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Thank you, Susan, for being a gracious hostess. Please join her so you can see what the other guests are up to.

A very simple tablescape for Christmas Eve here at In the Middle of Nowhere.

Table cloth-TJMaxx
Napkins-Estate sale
Chargers-HomeGoods
China-Noritake 'Luray' 1935
Crystal-I was told it was Fostoria, but have never found any listed like it
Sterling-Oneida 'Afterglow' 1956
Sterling Serving Spoons-Maker/Pattern unknown, there is a shield with an S and something that I can't make out and a C stamped by itself, other than that there is just Sterling and pat'd stamped. The pattern is what looks like a day lily. If anyone knows anything, let me know...I would love more pieces of this sterling.
Candlesticks-Goodwill, they were brass and I painted them cream color
Domed cake plate with ornaments-have had for quite some time

Thank you for taking the time to drop by. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

The china is just beautiful. Love the colors. You don't see as many patterns like that any more and they really are striking. I like how you paired the cranberry goblets with the china. And that flatware, how pretty is that? Beautiful job.

Hi Mimi
Beautiful china..love that pattern. I recognize your sterling spoons...it's a pattern I've seem on eBay but I'm drawing a complete blank on the name. If it hits me, I'll come back and leave another comment. I do remember it was one of the most expensive and hard to find patterns of all. I think it's gorgeous! Merry Christmas!

Hi Mimi! I am laughing at your comment about my Gw...yes, I think they are clueless as to what they are giving away! My friend Linda and I have visitied most of the GWs in the area and scoped out the best ones that are in snazzy neighborhoods, too. But honestly, I just think it's young people who don't want to polish Grandma's old silver! Good! More for me! You have some really great thrift shops in your area, too! Have a wonderful week and a happy New Year!...hugs...Debbie
