It's Not Just For Christmas!
My favorite time of the week...Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch! Thanks to our host, Susan, we can enjoy many beautiful tables each week.
I am also going to join Sue over at It's A Very Cherry World for Wednesday is Rednesday, this week. Thank you, Sue, for being a gracious hostess. Please make sure you stop by Sue's to see what is being shown red this week.
To enlarge any picture, just click on it.
The inspiration this week came from this homemade/handmade tablecloth I found at the thrift store awhile back...no, green and red are not just for Christmas! I really like the limey greens with the red. Someone sewed panels together with a zig-zag stitch to make this unusual tablecloth, it is almost like a multi-colored toile.
I have used the red Waechtersbach plates and Home Essentials and Beyond Cabbage Collection plates.
The water and wine stemware was purchased at Goodwill. I don't know either maker or pattern, but think the green stems are made by Indiana Glass as they are the same shade of green as the sherbets, which are Indiana Glass King's Crown/Thumbprint pattern.
My inexpensive little point and shoot camera doesn't take very sharp night pictures...but I did get another blue hour shot this week.
Most of the pictures don't have flowers, one of the kitties is bound to tear them up! I don't know what it is about certain ones...especially peonies!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog, it is so appreciated!

Love your green and red dishes..cools me off as I have been outside scrubbing the porch and furniture. I reek of clorox!
Good job my dear, thought it would be a Patriotic one , but you fooled me!
Love the table cloth and you are right it's not just for Christmas. I love the green (my favorite color) and red but it would be lovely with white too. So many different ways it could be used.
Sorry Marigene it was me.
Every week you send your tablescape which is always just gorgeous and today it jumped out at me, just love it.
Sweltering here in Vermont, in the 90's past 3 days. love, bbb

Glad you enjoyed Gunn Park!
Apparently, the flowers taste good!! (My cat always goes after the water...even though her dish is FULL) Cute table!
Another great table setting. Red is my favorite color and the greens, especially the lime, make it stand out. The tablecloth is what pulls it all together. Keep 'em coming!

Arn't you glad you wisked this wonderful tablecloth away to your house? I would have too.
I agree, lime green and red is a powerful combination. It is rich and happy and demands attention. And you combined the dishes to compliment the tablecloth so well!
I just love this tablescape.

I love the red going on in your tablescape. Why don't you link up with Sue at Its a Very Cherry World for Wednesday is Rednesday. Just go to my blog and you can click on in my post or her button on my sidebar. Folks would love to see your reds. I actually stopped by to say thank you for your sweet comments not just about me opening my store, but others as well that I hadn't had a chance to respond to. They all mean a lot and are so appreciated. I never post about a sad day or if I am mad, I keep it light. But there are days when I am upset and then a read a sweet comment and the day gets a little brighter. So thank you, thank you, thank you. I may not always get right back to you, but know that your words are appreciated. Have a great day.

Your table setting is so pretty! I love that tablecloth. Yes, I do believe it is a toile pattern. I have fabric for one very similar, except it is Mount Vernon scenery.

Thank you for visiting me and your kind comments...what a fabulous tablecloth! It is so charming, reminds me of English cottages. I can see all sorts of different setting with this! You did a great job with the green and red! Wonderful tablesetting!
I love the table linen you found and used, so pretty. I had a kitty that would eat any fresh flowers I had, she'd knock over the vase while I was sleeping and I'd wake up to a mess...
Thank you for visiting and leaving your kind comment on my "Centerpiece Wednesday"! I was so excited when I found this wicker pram with the "RED" and white gingham hood and "RED" wheels of course I had to add "RED" geraniums.
Hugz,
Kim

Love the tablecloth!
I, too, love my red Waechtersbach, and find it mixes so well with many things. Your table is beautiful and inviting. My favorite thing is that gorgeous cloth -- the fabric looks familiar, but I can't think where I have seen it.

What a wonderful find that tablecloth was! And you've set it off beautifully with your solid-colored plates. I always love colorful tables!
Mimi, the person who made this tablecloth had really a genius idea by sewing the pieces like cake slices together. I will remember that because I also have normally a round table and it is difficult to decorate fabric with such pattern on it. And you made a wonderful table. This red is just awesome with the green. This red and green gives no thought to christmas but to tomatoes and hot peppers and hot summer also. I enjoyed it very much.
Thank you for your visit. I always be happy about your nice comments.
Greetings, Johanna
I agree! We both went with colors traditionally set aside for Christmas! I love the tablecloth and you captured the blue hour beautifully!
Thanks for stopping by!
Kathy
