Blue And Orange Table For Two...

I will be joining Between Naps On The Porch, with our gracious hostess, Susan, for another Tablescape Thursday, my favorite meme. Please stop by her place so you can enjoy many more tables that all the participants have worked so hard to bring you their eye candy!

Thank you, to all who stop to visit and take the time to comment each week, it is very much appreciated. I do try to respond to each one.

To enlarge any of the pictures, just click on them.

I love a good hearty breakfast, so I decided to do my Mother's Day breakfast table for two.

The plates and flat saucers are Royal Sebring, Ohio Blue Willow that came out in 1948. The cups and little bowls just have "Made in England" on the bottoms. All of the Blue Willow was found at different thrift stores in the area. The orange plates are Waechtersbach Germany Orange Peel that I found a few years ago at TJMaxx.

The bright orange glassware came from e-Bay, sure wish I knew who the maker and what the pattern is so I could look for a couple more pieces, as I only have these two. I really like them, they are so bright and cheery.

I know that candles aren't used for breakfast but I thought the little crystal birds were cute so I added them to the table. They take small candles and the only ones I have that are the right size are either green or red, so I chose the green.

The beautiful flowers were from my husband's daughter, Stasha...they are perfect for my peach colored dining room. Thank you, Stasha!

Napkins and tablecloth are both from thrift stores, where else?

See you all next week...please, do stop by BNOTP to check out the other participants of Tablescape Thursday.

First of all I hope that you and your family are safe and hopefully not affected by those horrible tornadoes. DFW might be getting bad weather next week...

One good thing about moving to Palm Desert is that there is no tornadoe season there... but it does sit on top of a rather big fault. No real warnings for earthquakes!

That was so sweet of your son in law to give you those beautiful flowers. They turned out to be a wonderful inspiration for your colorful tablescape. Great use of those complimentary colors!

Talk to you soon ;)
Bunny Jean

p.s. I left a comment on your last (?) post to say thinks for the gift!

Hi Mimi, I stopped by to thank you for your sweet comment and get well wishes. I ended up back in the ER last night and so I have been ordered to rest and that leaves me with plenty of time to read everyones great posts.
I have brown glasses just like your orange ones. I will look it up and get back to you. I love all your recent table settings. I absolutely love old glass and dishes too, you have inspired me to do a table top in the future.
Thanks for sharing.

I am not usually an Orange lover but those plates and glasses are Fabulous.
By the way, I went to my local Goodwill this weekend looking for treasures and found nothing. That's prob.ably a good thing because I don't really have the room or the need.
Very pretty table and I love the flowers.

Mimi, great job on your table! I love the punches of color and how you echoed the orange in your glasses, your dishes, the flowers, and the linens! It just ties together perfectly! And that was sweet of Stasha to send you those pretty flowers to enjoy. :-)

It's beautiful Mimi! I love the flowers that go with it too.

I had never thought of blue and orange as a great color combination until our recent trip to Texas where there were roadsides filled with bluebonnets with some orange indian paintbrushes mixed in - it was so pretty!

Hi Mimi,

Great tablescape -- very pretty. The goblets that you asked about are Noritake provincial -- now discontinued. There are many colors including orange. You can find wine, water and two sizes of ice tea -- 11 and 13oz. I have an extensive collection of this pattern in all the colors. Watch Ebay someone will be selling orange sooner or later. Good luck. Arlene

Mimi, thanks for the information. Wow, you are good. I don't have a clue what any of the silverware is. This lady had it in a drawer in her booth at the flea market and she had the stuff tied in separate bundles. Nice to know who they are by and the pattern and age. Thanks. And I love all the colors of this cute tablescape.
