Gobble, Gobble

I have been waiting for this time of week to roll around so I could join Susan for Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch. Susan, thank you for hosting my favorite meme.

What is Thanksgiving without a turkey or two or three...

I decided to use orange loosely woven placemats instead of a tablecloth, thinking they would show the plates off better. I had a hard time choosing the napkins, should they be a solid orange or brown or a plaid orange/cream/green. The plaid won out! The turkey napkin holders were a must, when else would I be able to use them?

The dinner and salad plates are Queen's Thanksgiving by Myott Factory. I found these on sale at TJMaxx. I love the muted colors in the plates.

Don't you love those colors?

The place setting includes the dinner and salad plates, tall sherbet, water glass and a small wine glass.

The stemware is hard to see, the water glass is pale lime with an amber stem and orange base, the small wine glass is a darker shade of lime. I do not know the maker or pattern of either.

The sherbets will be used for a pumpkin mousse. I don't know the maker or pattern, haven't had time to look them up.

I am using Oneida Sterling, pattern is Afterglow 1956.

The stuffing will find it's way into the covered white turkey casserole.

Finally, the centerpiece...another covered turkey dish and salt/pepper shakers flanked by some tall candlesticks with short candles. The table is fairly small so there really is no room for flowers. Now I don't have to stand guard over two cats that are obsessed with fresh flowers!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. A special thank you to all who leave a comment, I will reciprocate.

I forgot to add the mini pumpkins and little bouquet of leaves, last night, so here is what the table is supposed to look like!

I agree what a beautiful tablescape. I am collecting those same plates only in the all brown version - they are so pretty in color as well. I love the turkey dish for the stuffing and the centerpiece ones and finding stemware with all those colors is such a great match.

Your silverware is as old as I am, LOL!

I love it. And I just bought some of those salad plates at Marshall's on Friday. They didn't have any of the dinner plates left. Everything looks great and ready for some turkey!

Great tablescape. I love the addition of the mini pumpkins. I have the same plates but in pink. I have enough for 24 people. I got them when I was in my "pink" stage. Now I am wishing I had gotten the multi color ones like yours. Oh well. Thanks for sharing your tablescape. And thanks for stopping by my blog & for leaving me a comment.

Mimi, so glad you stopped by my blog today and left a comment, that is how I found your blog. Love your incredibly beautiful thanksgiving dishes, the muted colors are my favorite. I especially noticed the silverware, very reminiscent of my mother's, it was a wedding gift to them in 1950. Anyway, lovely table..and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving guest list to enjoy it.
