The Last Of Fall Has Arrived

My favorite time of the week is once again here, Tablescape Thursday. Be sure to stop by Between Naps On The Porch to see what all the talented ladies and gentlemen have put together this week. Thank you once again for hosting, Susan.

To make the photos larger just click on them, to make them huge click twice.

This is my last table for the fall season, then on to Christmas and Cuisine Kathleen's Christmas/Winter White Event on December 15, 2010. Hope everyone will join her.

While at Walmart a few weeks ago I saw some really lovely fall plates, but didn't buy them at that time. Can you all believe that?! I hoped there would be a sale and that there would be four left. Well, they went on sale but there were only three left, so I snatched them up. While at another store I found the fourth one. By then the dinner plates were also on sale, so I picked up four.

In my stash I knew I had napkins that would be perfect with the shade of purple in the plates.

The water glasses are some I have had for quite awhile and also were a good purple match. Not wanting purple overkill, I used a clear wine stem.

The place setting is rather pretty, don't you think? Well, maybe the pale lavender tablecloth isn't the best of choices, the roses really show up in the photos, but I wanted to stick with purples.

The candlesticks are some I found at TJMaxx. I tried short cream candles but decided to go with the taller purple ones. Cream or purple, what's your opinion?

A bird's eye view.

A little candlelight.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate every one, especially my followers and the friends that leave comments, that is the only way I know you have visited!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Your plates are awesome! Don't you hate it when you wait for a sale and then someone already bought the item. But how lucky to find your fourth at another store. I think the purple is such a sophisticated autumn color. Your table is gorgeous!

Lovely! Those plates are a gorgeous color and the little acorns are calling out to me. LOL
Guess I did my last fall tablescape for the season as well. We aren't hosting Thanksgiving here this year, but I wanted to set a table all the same. So just the two of us enjoyed a mini Thanksgiving meal last night.
Wishing you joyful abundance this season! ~ sarah

How much were they on sale for at Walmart? (Maybe I don't want to know! Groan!!) I was afraid they would be gone if I didn't get them when I did (about a month ago!)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Can't believe that you just happened to have the perfect purple napkins sitting in a drawer! I'm not sure if I have anything in purple. I do have some amethyst goblets being shipped...an ebay purchase. I like the purple candle on the cream candlestick. I wouldn't even have noticed the roses in the lavendar cloth if you hadn't mentioned them...you have a really good eye for detail! Great find on the plates! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
