It's A Plaid World

We had a great time in Vermont over the holidays, even got lots of snow right after Christmas, but I missed doing a table!

It is almost time to head over to Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Susan, thank you for hosting my favorite meme each week. Make sure you click on the link to get inspiration from the many other bloggers that share in this hobby!

I don't know about you, but I am about holidayed out with Christmas colors. This week's inspiration came from a piece of lightweight wool that I am using for the tablecloth. It is a nice warm tan, dark rust that is almost a cranberry and bluish gray.

The dinner plates are Country Manor by Noble Excellence. They are listed as green, but are more gray with a hint of blue with a brown wash on the rims.

The raspberry solid color salad plate is by Nancy Calhoun.

The soup bowl is Pamela Gladding's Tuscan Rooster. Replacements, Ltd. lists this as an individual ice cream bowl...they are huge, holding a quart to the rim!

Place setting.

The soup tureen is a pale tan with darker tan/pink flowers, so I used it to keep in the same shades as the rest of the table instead of using a white one.

Cranberry water glass, unknown maker/pattern.

Overall of the table.

Candlelit table.

Thank you all that have taken the time to visit my blog...it is really appreciated. I hope to see you next week!

Another very pretty setting. Those rooster bowls are cute but if it is for ice cream that is a big bowl!

I just put away the Christmas dishes so onto more colors on the table :)

I am ready to come over for that bowl of soup. Those bowls are very cute, but ice cream? Wow! Love the plaid on the table, says winter to me for sure. Great layering!

The wood plaid makes the table feel so cozy. The rooster bowls are big enough for ice cream for two! Glad you are back and that you missed tablescaping ;o)

I see I made a typo ~ it should read "wool" plaid. LOL

Vermont! You got to go to Vermont??!?!!! That is one of the states that is on my "bucket list." I would love to visit there in the winter and stay throughout until spring's thaw. My husband, on the other hand, is not so fond of the idea! :-( Your tablescape has a very Vermont feel to it! Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by my place earlier this evening! Happy New Year!!!

Wow, those soup bowls are just out of this world. They are a treasure and you set them off so well on this fun table. I love the napkins paired with the fun plaid. It is so fun to see things like this that I have never seen before. I am really glad you turned the bowls on their sides so we could see how fantastic they are.

I love this table!! That plaid is so beautiful and I can just imagine the warm woolen texture. And it goes so well with the napkins. The whole table is just wonderful!

I agree! I'm ready to move on from all the holiday decorating...although I'm still putting away decorations at my house. Was sick over the weekend, and it put me behind just a tad. Better now. I love to use wood fabric for tablecoverings, too. Done to earth and elegant all at the same time. I love your tablescape...every detail. Thank you for sharing your lovely design and for stopping by my post. Cherry Kay

Love the fabrics!! I LOVE plaid!! LOVE IT! The layering is beautiful!! Doing tablescapes is not a gift I possess, so I love to just admire and study someone who does it and does it beautifully!

Love this!
