Pine Cones and Winner of Grace & Miss Mouse Soaps Giveaway!
The inspiration for this week's table are the pine cone dishes, I found at Goodwill last February. I got them on Senior Discount Day so they were 37¢ each! There are 4 dinner and salad/dessert plates and soup bowls...so for $4.44 plus tax I have dishes I can use all winter long! This is a very simple table, but probably my favorite of all I have done...they have two of my favorite colors, green and brown.
Today I will be using the 7¾-inch salad/dessert plate for the dessert. The dishes were made by Hampton @ Home Pine Cone pattern.
The brown and cream 9-inch salad plate is Sterling made in East Liverpool, Ohio. I think it is a type of restaurantware. These were also bought at Goodwill.
The dinner plate is very large, almost 11-inches. Here is an up close of the plate's center.
I tried the setting with the rattan charger, but liked the acrylic that looks like wood better. They are another Goodwill find.
I put the napkin into the brown Noritake Provincial glassware, which you have seen several times. I have 3 sizes, this time I used just the water and wine stems. The ecru tablecloth is machine made lace.
The champagne Madeline flatware is from World Market. It is so versatile, goes with almost everything. I just found out they are now carrying not only champagne and green, but red...maybe Santa will bring me the red...afterall, I have been nice this year!
The Christmas tree in the center is one I have had for about a dozen years. For some reason the little ornaments photograph really flat, some are really shiny, other are a matte finish...it is much more colorful in real life!
Candlelit table...the tree in the background is done in aqua, silver, white and clear ornaments. This tree doesn't photograph good, either...it is one of those fiberoptic, so the photos always look blurry, even when the lights aren't on. Next year I am going to wrap it in clear lights, no more multi colored lights for me!
The winner of the Grace and Miss Mouse Soaps is Carol of There's Always Thyme To Cook. Congratulations, Carol!

Thanks for your comment on my post Three French Hens. Oh good grief..is that the impression that you got that I dressed them up to be a pointsettia? That wasn't my intention at all. Since they were suppose to be 'French Hens' I just wanted them to look fancier for Christmas I best go redo the photos.
Love your tablescapes, you are so creative.
You have a charming blog and I just became a follower.
