Yes, I Do Own A Few Pink Dishes!

With Valentine's Day fast approaching I decided to get my table set. Who says I don't have anything pink...I have been quietly amassing a few things.

On the white damask tablecloth a layered a very pale pink one...it is so pale it almost looks white. As usual both are thrift store finds, like 95% of my tablescaping pieces are! To this I have added placemats in pink, deep rose and white. The napkins coordinate with the placemats. Both are Prescott Seasons. The napkins are supposed to look like roses, maybe a solid color would have been better. The flatware my Oneida Afterglow, sterling, circa 1956 that you have seen hundreds of times.

I used a white charger from TJMaxx topped with a pink dinner plate by Goebel the pattern is Meridian, made in Bavaria West Germany. The salad plate is unmarked. The rimmed soup bowls are by Narumi China, pattern is Pink Scroll. These were a gift from my sister, Judy. Finally, the molten lava cake dessert will be made and served in the cranberry ramekins that I got with a gift certificate giveaway I was lucky enough to win from Cuisine Kathleen over a year ago.

The glassware is also from thrift stores. The iced tea glasses are Indiana Glass Recollection, this is a reproduction of the Depression Glass pattern Madrid. The wine glasses are pale pink, maker/pattern unknown.

The centerpiece, which reminds me of a cake iced in pink every time I walk by it, is a white pedestal dessert plate (TJMaxx) with a pink Hull covered dish in a diamond pattern. This was purchased at a neighbor's yard sale a few years ago for $2. The candlesticks are Napcoware found at Savers last year.

The rim shot.

         Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

You have made me very happy by sharing this adorable pink table today! I love it all but the Hull piece is my favorite! I have a very old Hull teapot in that same pattern (I think) but it is green! I love those pink depression reproduction glasses....perfect on this table. I'm just happy today! Hugs, Linda

I saw dishes in TJ Maxx yesterday that made me think of you...and they were even the dreaded pink!! (the bowls were rose shaped, that's why) It's too funny that you posted a pink table today!

Definitely pretty in pink!! I'm not sure what it is but I love the pink things I have too, and always enjoy getting them out. Love that glassware too! I wish I could find the pretty things you do around here, but if I did they would be too expensive. You have a wonderful collection!!

I am so proud of you for flying your pink flag!!! You GO, girl!!! Not only did you get some pink, but you got some really GREAT pink items!!! I love the stemware! I only have one set of pink stemware, and I am always on the hunt for more. I am so sorry I missed out on it at Pier 1 awhile back. It was the perfect color! Your dishes are beautiful, and you did a really terrific job of mixing and matching everything. It is such a wonder what you can find and do with thrift store treasures! People just don't have a clue what they're getting rid of!

Marigene your table is just beautiful. You do such a lovely job. I think I owe you an apology as as a couple of months back you left a lovely comment but I thought I had made a mistake on my blog. Well it was only because it was a typo. I would love to be friends and sincerely invite you to come back. I was a blogger of just barely two weeks when it happened and since then I have found lots with typos that could be misconstrued and I'm sure I have done the same. It was just a brand new bloggers error on my part and I am so sorry if I offended you. Please accept my sincere apology.

Sorry I am late commenting. I can see your pics on the ipad but no text shows up. Don't know why!
Anyway, you do find the best things. I have been looking for solid pink plates for evah!
The Hull piece is amazing, and the whole table is lovely!
I hope you have recouped from using the dreaded pink! I use ornery orange every now and then even though it is not my fave!
Thanks for the mention!

Never enough pink!! This is beautiful! Love your sterling. We are about 15 miles from where it was probably made (sadly, no longer manufactured there). Your variety of pinks go sooo well together. Very pretty!

Always fun to see what dishes will be on your table. Love the image of the side angle of the stack, and clever to twist the napkin in the bowl. Makes a lovely shot. Happy Valentine's Day! ~ Sarah

Okay Marigene, you surprised me this time! I can generally just look at each of the thumbnails and know "who did which tablescape". I thought, "Nope, pink is so not Marigene's color!" I was thinking you would do maybe a red/white theme Valentine table. I loved to be surprised! This is so pretty. And I love those pink scroll soup bowls! Everything looks lovely! thanks for joining both TTF and TT! I hope you are having a great week!
