I will join in the National Tartan 2012 Party that Sarah of Hyacinths For The Soul and Babs of Upstairs Downstairs who are hosting for this fun meme. Please make sure you stop by so you may enjoy anything tartan! Thank you ladies for hosting.
Most of the tartans I have are very Christmasy, lots of reds and greens. I did have a fairly good sized piece of tans/rusts/grayish blue tartan that I cut into a runner and napkin liners.
The very simple table was started with rattan chargers, a blue/gray dinner plate and salad plate. The dinner plate is Noble Excellence Country Manor and the salad plate is Burgess & Leigh Dalmeny, circa 1900-1912. The colors are definitely more gray than blue in these dishes.
Flatware is the champagne Madeline from World Market. They go with just about anything. The napkins are light brown linen napkins with the tartan placed on the interior. Napkin rings are from World Market, also.
The amber glassware is from TJMaxx a few years ago. I use them all the time, they are a great size for just about anything.
Rim shot so you can see the patterns up close and personal.
Thank you for visiting today, hope you will come back again.

Thank you for the beautiful bonus tablescape. bbb
Wow, Marigene...you totally picked the perfect china to go with that plaid!!!!!!!!! It beautifully picks up on the bit of gray in the plaid to give it a more prominent role! I really like the World Market flatware, too. I saw it there and wanted it REAL bad!!!!!!

Your table looks amazing. Your plates and dishes in your masthead and on your table are just so pretty!
Thanks for sharing your sources also. I am having so much fun seeing every post and how they translate plaids and tartans to their homes and gardens.

That china is beautiful! I have those rings from WM too, ordered on line.
Lovely table, M! I will have to order some of my Irish name's tartan for next year. Not crazy about the colors though!

I love your tartan table. The runner and napkins are especially handsome. Be that they are tartan I felt I should not say "pretty". I really like the table itself.
