Fiesta of Colors!

I love bright colors so when I saw the Talavera glasses at Goodwill I snatched them up as fast as I could. I saw two right off and had to hunt for the other two. As I was going down the aisle a couple rows away I saw the salt/pepper shakers.

I started with a blue Gibson dinner plate then layered a gold salad plate, green dessert plate and finally a brown/orange bowl. Can you tell I am waiting for chili season, which is around the corner, not sure which corner, though!
 Rim shot.

I looked in the napkin stash, found something bright and cheery. The flatware is a cheap blue set from WalMart that I bought ages ago for a picnic.

Two of the drinking glasses were the same pattern, sort of a calla lily pattern. I would have loved to have them all be in the sunflower pattern...a little greedy aren't I for some that cost 99¢ each!

The salt and pepper shakers only have Mexico painted on the bottoms, so they are probably not Talavera. They were $1.99 for the pair.

I paired the Talavera with cobalt rimmed Mexican blown stems.

The tablecloth is just a piece of material ...it is actually a lime green, but looks almost grey in this photo. It was cloudy this morning when I started taking pictures, then the sun came out!

Thank you for stopping by today. I really appreciate it when you leave a comment, this let's me know you have been here!

I will be joining...

Marigene, those napkins really bring out all the bright colors you used in your colorful table. I wish I knew when chili season was coming, too. I hear we might go down to the 80's at the end of the week!!

Marigene,
Ok, I'm greedy #2...because I'd want all Sunflower glasses, too, dear friend!!! Lovely glasses, though...I do agree!!! The beading on the gold plates combined with those adorable handled bowls will be perfect for all your Autumnal recipes. Hot cereal, chili, pasta dishes, soups...limitless possibilities!!! Love this tablescape with all the vibrant hues. As if a final hurrah to Summer and a Welcome to Autumn combined! Fabulous!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Love all the bright colors. The napkins are just perfect. When I saw the pottery my first thought was Fall and it reminded me that I don't want it to get here too quickly.......missing my summer already.
Another terrific setting.

You have a way of pulling things together. Give you one piece and you work your magic. Sometimes I wouldn't even think of putting the colors together, but when you do they are beautiful and full of life. - Sue Z.
