Let There Be White Challenge

This week Cuisine Kathleen  challenged us to do a Let There Be White tablescape. White isn't a color as far as I am concerned...everyone knows I ♥♥♥ lots of real color...so this was hard for me.

I started with a white on white embroidered organdy tablecloth and white Battenburg type napkins.

The sterling flatware is International Frontenac, circa 1903.

The charger plates are Royal Staffordshire. I haven't had time to look up the pattern. The dinner plate is Tabletops Unlimited Chantilly and the salad plate just has a B inside a shield. The chargers and dinner plates were found at Savers and the salad plates at TJMaxx about 5 years ago. I have them in aqua and green also.

The green stemware is also from Savers...$2.99 for 4. Not sure who the maker is, but seems like I have seen similar ones at Pier One Imports.

Today, July 30,  is our 25th wedding anniversary...Howard got me this beautifully colorful bouquet, so it will serve as the centerpiece.

Thanks for taking the time to visit today...do come back the next time.

I will be joining Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish and hope that you will go over to check out all of the other inspiring tablescapes.

All white would not be my choice either, but you've done a marvelous job with it. The napkins and tablecloth remind me of pieces I have that were left in a chest of drawers I bought.

The thing I love the best is the beautiful bouquet of flowers! They are gorgeous and all that white just makes them pop right out!!

Happy anniversary, Marigene and Howard!

Such a spectacular tablecloth. And that flatware is so amazing. Every time you use it I swoon a bit. I have a single serving spoon from my Mom in that pattern. Until you started posting it, I never realized it was a full set.

Happy Anniversary! I was drawn to that beautiful arrangement of flowers right away.

Your table is lovely, and the loveliest part is the place setting itself. The patterns on the whites could stand all by themselves with no other color at all. The pop of green was just icing on the cake.

And I LOVE your sterling!!

Happy 25th anniversary. Your anniversary flowers are very pretty on your table.

Everyone seems to find all the bargains. I love your layering plates and I wish for a ceramic charger. I think you did well with the all white tablescape.

Thank you for your visit. I wanted to visit everyone on let's dish but my kids are coming for 20 days and I have had a lot of preparation. I think I am going to take a blogging break although you lose touch when you do.

We celebrate 42 Aug 21st. Congrats again.
