A Cheerful Table

Another cheerful blue and green table...my favorite color combo! The Vera tablecloth is what dictated the colors this week. I used white napkins and cobalt glass napkin rings.

I started the placesetting with a Vera Bradley blue charger, then a white Royal Staffordshire dinner plate, a green Bordallo Pinheiro plate and finally a cobalt square soup/salad bowl by Von Pok & Chang.

The flatware is the ever-present Oneida Louisiana.

The glassware is Artland Iris in cobalt and the green wine hock is possibly Imperlux.

There is a little bit of yellow in the tablecloth so I got bright yellow tulips for the centerpiece...I will be sad when the tulips won't be around until next year! The vase was someone's ceramic project, it is cobalt with lemons on it. I also added a blue candle holder with a squatty candle.

The rim shot.

I used the Pop Art setting on the camera for the top photo...a little bit bright, I'd say!

Thanks for taking the time to visit today. Please come back the next time. Have a great week!

I will join Diann at The Thrifty Groove for her final Thrifty Things Friday...this meme will be missed by many. Thank you Diann and Linda for hosting each week!

Marigene,
Blue & green was my favorite color combination as a new bride! WoW!!! This makes me realize why!!! Gorgeous!!! Looks as if you're ready for a celebration be it Mother's Day, Graduation. . .any occasion!!!
I read a tip in a magazine the other day to place a straight pin through the base of your tulip blossoms to keep them upright longer!
"Mr. Ed" & I are heading out to Front Porch Antiques in Ottawa tommorrow for their City Antiques & Flea Market. I'm on "a hunt" for a new piece for my next project!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Hi, Marigene!!! Either you've been feeling super upbeat, or you're trying to get out of a funk. One or the other. I can't decide which. Whichever it is, it has encouraged you to go all out with color...and I love it!!! Brilliant color is so uplifting, and with the grey days we've had around these parts lately, we could all do with a little uplifting of one kind or another.

The tablecloth was a great starting point and has all the colors that are great to pull on. I think the yellow tulips are a brilliant move.

Sunshine today after how many days of grey? Enjoy it!
