I would give anything to be able to have my father sitting at this table Sunday, unfortunately he passed away in 1995.
I tried setting more of a masculine table than I normally do...the only thing I could come up with is brown and green with a touch of yellow. I decided on the green square placemats.
The tablecloth has squares in it, so I thought square plates would be fun. I pulled out brown dinner plates with flowers and yellow salad plates.
After getting the plates in place I waffled between green or brown glassware...yep, green won out!
I already had brown napkins out and wanted to do something out of the norm, so I folded them into a snowflake/flower design and placed the drinking glass in the center.
The flatware is Oneida Louisiana.
Thanks for taking the time to visit today...hope you will come back next time.
I will join Table It at Rustic and Refined.

What a beautiful table in honor of Father's Day. I love the dishes, stems and the colors you chose for it. Yes, I know, I would do anything to have my dad on my buffet table tomorrow too! He died in 1996.
Happy Father's Day Marigene.
FABBY
I love the napkins! You are just too clever! Daddy would have thought your table too "fancy" for him (but he would have been proud of your talent)!!
Love you,
Jude
Wish my father were at the table too. He died in 1997. Perfect table for the fellas. I had e-mailed you to tell you how much I love the picture of your dad and my fond memories of your parents. Guess you didn't get it. Jerry got hers and Judy got the facebook message. hugs, bbb
Marigene, I really love this table! The plates are so pretty and the colors you added are perfect. I love the green bubble glasses! Thanks for the BD card also!
hugs,
Linda
Your table looks very inviting. Wonderful photo of your dad...
Such a soothing and pretty table. I love the stemware and the way you folded the napkins - just lovely.
It looks like you may have new dishes or at least I don't remember them. They are wonderful, and as you might guess, I love your napkin fold.
I don't know why but my comments aren't going through on Blogger/Blogspot but I hope this gets through. Your table is perfect and any father would love your attention to detail.
Your dad was a handsome young man, Marigene. What a wonderful idea to set a table in honor of him. I'll be he would love it!
What a beautiful table and what a good looking man your father was! It's so sweet of you to dedicate the table to him! Meike xx
