Here it is the middle of August and everything is still green! Very unusual for this part of the country...it should be browning up by now. On the way to lunch with relatives yesterday we noticed how green the fields of soybeans still are, even the corn hasn't completely dried like the past few years. We are going to experience a week of temperatures in the mid to high 90's...the last blast of summer, hopefully.
The tablecloth is different shades of green and brown on a white background. I bought it at HomeGoods or TJMaxx. The napkins are a solid bright grass green found at the thrift store, probably Savers. The dragonfly napkin rings are from Pier One, I think, via Debbie of Mountain Breaths a few years ago.
Of course, any chance I get I use the BP cabbage leaf dishes! This time the green and white ones. I have to say out of all the dishes I own, the cabbage leafs are my favorite.
Another favorite is the green Oxford Hall Fashion Wear flatware. I sure would like to find a few more placesettings in this color.
The stemware is Ivima 1895 hobnail and Imperlux wine hocks. The emerald wine decanter was a thrift store find several years ago.
This is one of my favorite green tables...oh, let's face it...any green table is a favorite!
Thanks for taking the time to visit today...hope you will return next time...
I will join Table It/Rustic & Refined.

Oh my word...cool, refreshing, gorgeous! Love it Marigene!
Your table setting is gorgeous. That green is perfect for August when it is so hot outside. It looks so cool and fresh . . . perfectly lovely :)
keep Smiling.
Connie :)
Green is so refreshing and cool looking. I love the cabbage leaf too, but only have a very few salad plates. I have never seen that flatware except on your blog. I love the shape of the handles. I hope this is the last blast of sumer, but since it's only August, I'm guessing it's not. Dianne
Oh Marigene, I'm green with envy over your pretty table!! I always love your cabbage dishes and oh my, that wine decanter from the thrift store is so pretty. Your centerpiece and your tablecloth go perfectly with all your wonderful green.
I enjoyed every detail of your August Green table!
You really have some beautiful green glassware! This is a really pretty table Marigene! I love the tablecloth.
So charming. The greens are so summery and bright - love the flatware. Everything goes so nicely together. It looks like a garden part.
I noticed the same thing about the soy fields! We have some nearby that are SO tall and SO green...they almost look unreal! Our grass is still very green, too. Our plantings of flowers around the house are pretty pitiful, though. This heat and sunshine have just been excruciating!!!
It's great that you would create a green tablescape to help cool us off! I agree with Pam and Dianne that the look of your tablescape can totally be described as "refreshing" in all ways!
As always you have found all the greatest things out there and available at Savers! I've given up on trying! :-)
I sure hope you guys don't wilt away this week! Take care, and stay cool!!!
Marigene, I just love this table -- one of my favorites, I think. That bright green is wonderful.
I can't believe things turn brown so early there! We, too are headed for a heat wave in the triple digits, they say. I guess I knew we wouldn't escape -- this summer has been so pleasant generally.
It's not nearly as dry here as it was last summer either. Thankfully, the grass and trees are still quite green and not many early colored leaves as we usually have.
Beautiful cool-colored table on such a warm and humid day here. I think are forecast is very similar to yours!
No one does green like you do! You have beautiful green glassware, and you know how much I enjoy the cabbage plates.
Your green accessories are perfect on your stunning tablecloth, Marigene. I love that pattern. I have some cabbage dishes too and always marvel at how versatile they are. Lovely table.
I love the shade of green, Marigene, love those plates too but my fave here is the tablecloth. Beautifully put together as usual.,,,Christine
Chickens and green always work well for you. You've shown off your greens beautifully here and the cloth is a wonderful backdrop.
Marigene, The shades of green and brown in this tablecloth are a beautiful background for the the cabbage plates and all of the glorious shades of green in this beautiful August Green tablescape. The flatware and the wine glasses are just lovely and the spring green napkins adorned with the dragonflies are perfect to complement the rest of the table setting. I do love those hock wine glasses and the decanter is pretty darn nice too. Simply lovely!
such a wonderful looking table....it would be fabulous outside in the middle of a field somewhere...it looks like the landscape in Ireland....so pretty!
I love seeing all this pretty green! Very refreshing! I'm not ready for the fall colors yet!

Very pretty. Question: What does "BP" mean in your cabbage dishes?
Lovely table Marigene. I too, have quite a few of those cabbage dishes. I love them. It's great to see you mix in the white. Perfectly happy table with your green glasswares and flatware to coordinate everything. Refreshing and clean look for August. Have a great weekend. xo
Love all your green! It's green here too! Hot but green!
Blessings My Friend,
BP are the initials for Bordallo Pineheiro, china from Portugal.
Oh, this is soooo pretty! I love the coolness of green glass and lettuce leaf bowls in this summer heat! Love the dragonfly napkin rings and the daisies, too!
What a pretty table…perfect as summer is ending. We all won't be seeing green much longer. Here in New Hampshire, our leaves are already starting to change.
Be still my heart, Marigene. This tablescape is outstanding! I'm a lover of green and there is absolutely nothing I would change about this table. It is exquisite, welcoming and refreshing. Bravo!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Very pretty. I'm a big green fan, and as many dishes as I have, I've always wanted those leafy bowls and still don't have them yet. They can go in so many directions. Very fun that you stayed all green here. A real nod towards holding onto summer... :-)
I love this. I bet it would look great as an outdoor setting as well! I wanted to mention that I like your new blog design, too! :)
Happy New Week!
Jane xx
Having just done a "green" post as well, I'm very much into the various shades of your t'scape! Looks wonderful! The cabbage leaf dishes are perfect with it!

I went "OOOHHHHHH" when I saw this table setting. Gorgeous! I love that color of green, being Irish.
Cool and beautiful!!
Marigene,
I agree. . .we've had an unusal August on our side of the Prairie, too!!! The grass is s t i l l green!!!
I totally, love your cabbage bowls!!!I was able to purchase a set of four at Front Porch Antiques in Ottawa. If you get a chance. . .my dear friend, Rodgie from Roadhouse Antiques has a booth space there!
Lovely August Green Tablescape and a lovely Summer!!!
Fondly,
Pat
I missed this? I could swear I commented on it. I love all your greens, so cool looking.
Our summer has been dry, but lower than normal temps, really delightful!
I'm all for green! I think much of the country has had ample rainfall this year which makes those people in drought-stricken areas very happy. I don't think we hit 90 degrees all summer.
Very pretty table, Marigene!
Visiting from Christine's Table It.....your tablescape is gorgeous! Love those cabbage dishes and green stemware - love it all.

Green and more Green one of my favorite things to use for a table setting. I now have the white cabbage bowls on my wish list, have the green plates. Light and refreshing table for the end of summer.
