A Ray Of Sunshine On A Dreary Day

The inspiration for this table came from a small April Cornell square in yellow, periwinkle, green and a bit of red. I have paired it with round green woven mats.

We have had days and days of rain...I keep looking out the window expecting to see an ark! The forecast for the next 10 days include rain every day...I don't know about you, but I need sun in order to function properly.

The place setting consists of the green place mat, white wood charger, yellow Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage leaf dinner plate which is topped with an Eddie Bauer green/cream checked salad plate.

I have used the vintage Oxford Hall Perfectionware flatware.

The glassware is from Dollar Tree.

The yellow and white buffalo checked napkins are held with a yellow woven napkin ring.

All the yellow brought a little sunshine into the house, but not nearly enough!

Thanks for taking the time to visit today...hope you will come back next time.

What a great table! I love all those colors, and I didn't know EBauer had plates - from a while back, I presume, when the EBauer home section was bigger? Great colors - all.
We are having lots of sun, but it is really hot here in WV. Unusual weather all over the country, but your area is inundated with the rain! Too bad it can't be bottled and sent to CA.

I love the color combo's---definitely sunny and pretty! I love the dishes, too.

So your hubby is away also? Too bad we didn't live closer, we could share a bottle of wine and some giggles! :)

Your bright, colorful settings are my favorites and this one is no exception. Love the April Cornell square and the stemware with the multi-colored rings....reminds me of glassware from the 50s.
It's been sunny here but this made my day even brighter.

Too much rain depresses me! I too need sunshine! Love the table. The April Cornell linens are so pretty and this one has such vibrant colors. I love those white chargers (Pier 1?) but they are a bit pricey for my pocketbook right now. They really add an extra oomph to the table don't they. Sending hugs and hopefully sunshine soon.

Hi Marigene :)

You always set the cutest tables and you're so good at mixing everything. I love plaid so this is one of my favorites :)

On your last post the pinks and greens were perfect and I loved what your brother Bud said about a patchwork quilt. It's true!

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Your table is a ray of sunshine, Marigene! We've had so much rain in Texas, as you've probably heard, with so much devastation and loss f lives. Here's hoping your weather is a little brighter than ours.

Your tables are always so cute and cheery. I cannot believe you got that stemware from the Dollar Store. It looks very similar to my Fiestaware glassware. I have a Dollar Store within walking distance of my house, so I am going to have to check it out. Then again, do I really need more tableware? Hmmm. I also like those black and white checked plates. Very nice, Marigene!
