Pink Hibiscus

I have no words for the table you are about to see! The inspiration was the Gerbera daisies from last week...I wanted to use them, again, before they faded away. I knew it would be a pink table...so I found a tablecloth in the armoire that I thought would work. I wanted something that would make me smile...it has been so rainy and overcast this spring. Next were the dishes...I found the hibiscus bowls at Savers the end of last summer, but didn't get a chance to use them. Well, there was pink and yellow to work with...strange color combo, even for me, but I ran with it. I don't think I need to narrate this tablescape any further...enjoy while you are laughing!

Thank you for visiting today...hope you will come back next time.

Hi Marigene,

I'm so glad to see that you enjoy color like I do! I probably use too much sometimes, but I can't stand to see a house full of nothing but neutrals. To me it would be like looking outside on a monochrome landscape day after day. I love the hot pink of your Gerbera daisies; that's so perfect for summer. Your whole tablescape shouts summertime. :) I think your tablecloth is pretty and festive, and your green hutch blends perfectly with it. I also love your pink goblets (so pretty), your napkins, and the lovely flatware. Your various colors of the cabbage dishes are so versatile -- they really are a classic.

Hope you have a great week, Marigene!

Hugs,

Denise

Wow, I love this setting, it's so happy and colorful! I'll bring lunch over so I can see everything in person. I wish I had a Saver's close by, would you compare it to Marshall's? Seems you always find really good stuff there!!

It's been gray and rainy all day here. I think I need this table to put a little color in my life. Wow, it's full of spunk and makes me feel happy just looking at it. Fun, fun, fun!

I think the pink and yellow look great together since your tablecloth ties everything together. Anyway, don't we see pink and yellow flowers together sometimes in gardens? Your table is a perfect tabletop flower garden! Your flower plates are fun, too. I like how you used white chargers and napkins to sort of rest the eye as you scan the table. I'm impressed you have enough pink accessories to dress a table with balance. I do love pink! Blessings~

WOW - I love this colorful table! It is so bright and so summer! Love the Gerbera Daisy inspration. I used to grow zinnias in the same colors. Really brightened up the yard in August when the bloomed. Thanks for identifying my lilies as "ditch lilies" I love it! That is what I am calling them from now on.

Marigene, The pink of the hibiscus bowls placed upon the golden yellow of the sunflower plates makes for a beautiful summer table. The bright and colorful tablecloth is a wonderful background to show off the summer beauty of the daisies and the prettiest stack of floral plates that I have seen this year..... Candy

Marigene, I love this riot of color! Those hibiscus dishes are to die for in my book! I spend so much time each year in my garden, staking my Lord Baltimore variety of hibiscus, and always describe the blooms' size as saucer-plate sized or bigger! Just a great table, I really enjoyed it.

Gorgeous Marigene!! The way you sacked those dishes, is epic! (as my twenty year olds would say).

Great job!!

Hi Marigene! I'm still enjoying your sweet colorful table! To answer your question, yes, we have mosquitoes but they are much smaller than Texas ones and we don't seem to have as many! :)They still always mange to find me though.

You are killing me with this table here! This is just fantastic. Those hibiscus plates are to die for. This looks like a table that artist Frida Kahlo would set. I would love to enjoy a meal here. Color always ignites conversation anyway, so I can only imagine how lively a dinner would be.
