Easing Into Fall

I am so looking forward to fall, the crisp air, rich colors, low humidity and falling leaves!
The inspiration for this tablescape is a large piece of fabric I found that someone took the time to bind the edges. I fell in love with the rich browns, golds and aqua. It make a perfect fall tablecloth. Even though the fabric if more formal than I usually use, I toned it down with rustic pieces.

I started with World Market woven chargers. The plate stack begins with aqua Sweet Olive Designs dinner plate, a gold salad plate from TJMaxx several years ago, there is no backstamp, and a Paula Deen Tatnall Street dessert plate.

The roll plate is a Bordallo Pinheiro gold cabbage leaf crescent shaped plate.

The glassware is an amber Artland Iris wine stem and a Whitehall iced tea by Colony, also in amber.

The flatware is just inexpensive wood handled from Savers.

The napkins are from Pottery Barn and aqua napkin ring from Savers.

The centerpiece is a tray of pear candles.

I have also used my gold and yellow Bennington Pottery pitcher.

Our life is about to change...my husband begins chemo Monday. If you are inclined to pray, we would appreciate any and all prayers. Thank you, ever so much.

Thank you for visiting today...do come back next time.

I will join Table It/Rustic & Refined.

Beautiful Marigene, simply beautiful!! I love the pear candles in the centerpiece, they just say fall to me. What a glorious piece of fabric for the tablecloth. The colors are delightful to look at with the rich fall hues. The plates match up so prettily with the gold, aqua, and the rich red brown tones in the table covering. I love the golden yellow color of the BP roll plate and the salad plate, they are perfect for this table.

I will be thinking of you and Howard during this trying time. Sending big hugs and lots of prayers your way... Hugs, Candy

Oh my, can't believe it is almost fall but aren't we lucky to see your fall tablescape. We went to the Bondville Fair tonight and spent the whole evening chatting with George Webster. He is like you, remembers everyone and everything. I told him that. I will send hugs and prayers too like Candy but don't know what she is referring to. Sure hope all is ok. bbb

Marigene,
Dear friend, I'm adding you and your husband to my daily prayer list.
I'll be lifting you up, by name, to our Lord for comfort, healing and strength to endure.
I adore the hues of your Easing Into Fall Tablescape!!!
Faux pears are my favorite fruit for home decor!!! Lovin' those pear candles!!!
The subtle hue of aqua blue is tranquil and serene. . .a gentle reminder to 'wind down'.
Thank you for sharing your life with us, dear one.
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. I must have a wrong email address, the last two have come back.

First - the best of thoughts for you and your husband at this time - I know we will all be thinking of you. I have a little angel that I put up in the living room to remind me of a friend in need - it goes up tonight and every time I look at her I will think of you and the good outcome.

I love your header - and also the table setting - it is elegant and sweet at the same time. I have similar flatware - and at one time years and years ago I have to gold faceted goblets. Everything goes together so well and makes a good autumn statement. Be brave, when it is hard, by happy when you feel sad, be sure to know that your friends care deeply.

I'm adding you and your husband to my prayer list, Marigene. This table is beautiful. I can't believe you found napkins that coordinate so well with that pretty tablecloth. I love your plate stack. The colors are beautiful, and the stack picks up all of the colors in the linens. Sending you prayers and hugs.
