Nutcracker Tablescape

I have several small nutcrackers, no large one, unfortunately. This table is decorated around them. I did buy the "plastic" salad plates at World Market a few weeks ago. There were on red or blue nutcrackers, so I bought two of each.

A picture of the tree...and see the plant with the green leaves...that is the poinsettia I got last year! I have never been able to keep one longer than a couple days...amazingly this one is still alive!

Howard covered my chairs with the yellow/white elephant fabric. I love them. If I tire of them I still have the zebra fabric...not sure if he would tackle that job again, though!

Thanks for visiting today...hope you will return next time! Have a great weekend!

Fun table Marigene! This would make a great table for hosting friends or family going to or coming from the annual holiday performance! Being a retired dancer with girls who also performed, I can even see hosting the performers after a show with this great table.

Oh so wonderful and bright. I love the nutcracker plates. Don's boss collects nutcrackers and so of course I had to show her your blog. I love reds and white at christmas - this table is magnificent. Like the chair seat covers too - I am trying to decide on fabric for mine. I have two chairs with padded seats and four chair that will have cushions - that is going to be my after the new year project for sure - I want something in a pale yellow print to go with my chairs yellow paint - I painted them last summer.

Love love love your table.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who decorates an entire table around a salad or appetizer plate! I was looking at some of your older tables this morning and thinking that I really do need to shop at Home Goods far more often than my semi-annual trips. This is lovely and colorful, and so festive. I LOVE that elephant fabric on your chairs. Thanks for the reminder that I seriously need to spruce mine up. The happiest of holidays to you and Howard!

Merigene...as always a lovely and cheerful table setting. I love the plaid..but you KNOW I am into plaid and have been since my teens. That always catches my eye. I never miss a single detail! :)

Wonderful table! I didn't even unpack my nutcrackers this year -- too lazy! This makes me wish that I had. The whole scape is so cheerful-- just lots of fun. I do love that fabric on your chairs, too.

Hi Marigene, I was SO glad to read in your earlier post that your husband's cancer is in remission! Answered prayers -- what a blessing! I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm sure others will too.

Your table is so pretty and wonderfully cheerful. :) I love those nutcracker plates; the colors are wonderful! Also love the vivid, tartan plaid table runner, flatware, and stemware. I really like lots of color in our home, especially at Christmas.

Thank you for your visit and compliment to Mr. Duncan, Marigene. :-D It's always so nice to hear from you, and I hope you and Howard have a wonderful Christmas and Best Wishes for the coming year.

Big Hugs,

Denise
