Blue, White And A Burst Of Color!

I have wanted to do another blue and white table for awhile, today seemed like a good day. My husband gave me this colorful bouquet for our wedding anniversary. He knows I don't care for roses, so he told the girls at the florist shop, "just make it bright, my wife loves lots of color!"

The linens are some I had a friend make for me a couple years ago from a shower curtain. She added the floral fabric to make a tablerunner. The napkins are held with a sailor's knot napkin ring. I chose plain patterned flatware to go with this pretty simple tablescape.

I chose plain woven chargers topped with a simple white dinner plate and a blue/white transferware salad plate. To this I added blue stemware.

The centerpiece  is the colorful bouquet in a cobalt ice bucket that I use as a vase, large transferware bowl filled with porcelain carpet balls and blue candlesticks.

Thank you for visiting today, hope you will return next time.

Love the blues......the blue and white checked napkins and runner brought me back to about 50 years ago. I must have had something (clothes ??) with blue and white checks....deja vu. Glad you decided on this tablescape.

Happy Anniversary - your bouquet is perfect for you!!!! I love transfer ware - and I even have the same set as your plates - a set in blue - and a set in green- and a set in pink. I found the pink/red at a yard sale way out in the country - it had one tiny sign near the gate to enter the yard and that was all the advertising. I got an entire set - even lovely serving pieces, for 20.00 - can't beat that.

I love how all your pieces go together so well - putting blue willow with the plates. And I'd never heard of carpet balls before - so had to look them up - very interesting - and as usual. when I see new pretty things on your tables I want to hunt for them also.

Lovely table - have a grand weekend my friend.

Your husband did well with your anniversary flowers. Happy Anniversary. I am a blue and white fan so hooray I love your table. Creative to recycle and have new table linens. Great mixing of patterns and layering your dishes.
Have a great weekend. Thanks for your visit.

Oh Marigene, I recognize those dishes -- the wonderful Liberty Blue pattern! :) Your salad plates are so pretty; I don't have any of those yet. I love this tablescape because I love blue and white. Your friend did a great job on the table linens; I adore the blue and white gingham -- it's just charming. The bowl with the blue and white carpet balls is so pretty and your flowers are gorgeous!! That was the perfect gift from your husband. :) I also like your blue stemware and the sailor's knot napkin rings. This is one of my favorite tables that you've done.

I have a blue and white table coming up soon, and I found some blue and white gingham placemats that I'm excited about using. Thanks for sharing, Marigene, and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,

Denise

Another lovely table! The blue & white plates are fantastic - every time I see those or the Liberty Blue plates I think, I'd really like to start collecting that set. Maybe after I downsize the collection this year.
