Easter 2017

I recently acquired a couple more lavender Bordallo Pinheiro dinner plates from eBay...they are rarer than hens teeth! They arrived in time to do an Easter tablescape. I have used all BP china for this table. The pieces include white chargers, lavender dinner, luncheon, salad plates, berry bowls and even a platter that I have used under the centerpiece. I have always used the luncheon plate for salads and the salad plates for dessert.

I have used a large piece of fabric as the tablecloth and lavender napkins.

The purple glasses are Ivima that I bought several years ago at TJMaxx. The sterling flatware is Oneida Afterglow.

The centerpiece is a couple small pots of lavender tulips that I plopped into a white tureen that is resting on a lavender BP bunny sandwich plate. The white candle holders came from a thrift store, Goodwill, I think and the purple candles, probably from WalMart.

Thank you for visiting today...hope you will return next time.

HAPPY EASTER!

I will join Rattlebridge Farm for Foodie Friday and Everything Else.

Ohmygosh, Marigene, that lavender BP is stunning! I don't know what it is, but I have recently gravitated toward loving that light shade of purple....my mother wore it often, and so well, and I've grown my own lavender for years. We're re-doing our master bath and I am thinking I want that color towels. But, oh, that dishware!! So beautiful. Happy Easter, Marigene.

Well, you know I love everything here. The little cabbage bowls really get to me, though, because of their extreme cuteness. I also like that stemware. I saw a purple table setting the other day and it had bright orange flowers as the centerpiece and it looked amazing, so I am challenging you to an orange and purple table setting. I'll be waiting. :-)

I'm so happy I happened across your blog! I was on Linda's at A La Carte, and saw your post. I LOVE your tablescape! I've really gotten away from blogging, from do stop from time to time, and I'm so glad I did! Nice to meet another gal in the Midwest! I'm a new follower, too!

Lovely table for Easter. I do love the purple.
I think I need to explore ebay for the green Bordallo. Tuesday Morning has not had the green with white veining in ages and I passed up getting enough then.I was crazy.
Hope your Easter Sunday was joyous.

Gorgeous - once again. Your color combination is the greatest - I especially love the glasses - and of course the cabbage dishes - always a favorite. I can just see the delicious dinner served on such a pretty table.

I hope you had a lovely Easter. Your purple BP dinnerware is really a great choice for your Easter table setting and using the white tureen with the purple bully plate as a base was perfect for displaying the beautiful purple tulips. Simply lovely.

Beautiful, Marigene! The color of the dishes reminds me of eggplant...so dark and rich. I was admiring your 'tablecloth'! Such a pretty pattern. And it's fabric! I wouldn't mind curtains made from that fabric.

A bleated Happy Easter. Hope all is well in your world!! :)

Oh Marigene, I just love your table and especially the lavender BP. I have never laid eyes on it anywhere. It is just gorgeous, I will certainly keep searching for it. I see you have purchased it on eBay. Have you ever seen it at a Tuesday Morning store? Funny, but I had just been thinking about doing a tablescape in purple but don't have any great lavender/purple dishes. Thanks for sharing your beautiful table.

Your colors really bring the viewer up. Life has gotten so drab these days with all the whites and neutrals. I'm guilty of that myself, so I appreciate seeing all your beautiful purples.
