All Dressed In Lavender and Pink!

I can't believe August is already upon us, where, oh, where has the time gone. It is, also, time for another Tablescape Thursday with Susan of Between Naps On The Porch. Thank you for hosting this fun weekly meme...without a doubt, I would have no blog were it not for TT.

You may enlarge any photo just by clicking on it.

I have had this piece of material for some months, not knowing what to do with it. Well, when I found the lavender dinner plates, I just knew they would be a perfect match...well, what do you think? I keep wondering where all the lavender dishes were when I started my quest several months ago. I couldn't find anything in violet, lavender, lilac, mauve or puce...you name it nothing in any shade of purple. Lately I found more than a few pieces in different shades of purple.

The flowers are Naked Ladies (Amaryllis belladona) from the yard. The are a beautiful pink with lavender tinged petal tips. Most of my flowers have been really stressed from the heat this summer, even the indestructible coneflowers, which thrive on the sides of the highways, here in Kansas.

The dinner plates, which are being used as charger plates, are a solid color, have no markings on the underside, no idea who made them or their age, am guessing they are fairly new. They go perfect with the plates I used here.

The dinner plates are a creamy white, also no markings on the underside.

The little pink and yellow flowered salad plates are from Vienna, Austria.

The dessert plate is a nice shade of lavender and are made by, are you ready for this...Pyrex! I had no idea they made anything in lavender.

The water glass is a dark pink, unknown maker and the wine stem is Noritake Sweet Swirl, lavender.

The placesetting.

Layers.

Overall of the table.

I had to, not only set the table once, but three times and dry the tablecloth/napkins before I got the photos taken...one of the kitties kept knocking the flowers over and chewing on them! Every time I turned my back AJ was up on the table after the flowers!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog. If you enjoyed this week's tablescape, you will enjoy many, many more by clicking onto the link to Between Naps On The Porch. I know all of the tablescapers would appreciate your visit.

Your table is the color of some of the sunsets we have here. I am laughing about your cat trying to nibble on your flowers. My cats do that too.

2Mimi, Thank you for the link to my Lady of The Lake. I had no idea. I never looked it up. It is just a special piece because my Grandmother gave it to me because I like blue. I am stunned. That was quite something to wake up to this morning!!!!

Apparently, your flowers are also quite tasty!! Very Pretty! Check Christmas Tree Shops (if you have one out there) or World Bazaar (I think that's what it's called) for purple stuff...I got all of mine at Christmas Tree Shops!

I love this! The fabric was your inspiration for this lovely lavender table. Love the plates and how everything works together. My TT post was about a piece of fabric too. Sometimes that's all we need to inspire our creativity. Fabric!
