We will be in Vermont with my family for the holidays so this is my last tablescape of the year. Susan, at Between Naps On The Porch is the host of my favorite weekly meme. Thank you, Susan, for hosting each week...please make sure you stop by her blog to see more inspirational tables.

I have used rattan chargers, a green charger, W Adams & Sons England, the patter is Italian Scenery dinner/dessert plates and Taylor, Smith, Taylor salad plates. The cute little green cordials are a Christmas gift from my dear friend, Linda at A la Carte. She knows that green is my favorite color and she said she couldn't not get them for me...thank you, again, Linda!
Dinner plate.
Dessert/salad plate.
Layering is so much fun!
Placesetting.
Glassware.
The cordials are only 3½' tall.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog...I really appreciate it!
A very Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Kwanzaa and a Happy, Healthy New Year to each of my blogging friends and their families!

White And Silver On White
This is the week of Cuisine Kathleen's Christmas/Winter White Event. I was so excited as I hadn't done an all white table before. It was much, much more difficult than I thought...some whites just don't go together at all, they look stark, blinding white, almost gray or have a yellowish cast to them. Please, go visit Cuisine Kathleen to see other beautiful tables...you will not be disappointed.
I will also be joining Kathleen for White Wednesday at Faded Charm, for the first time, and Susan at Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
Thank you ladies, for hosting these fun memes. To enlarge any photo, just click on it.
We didn't get snow like in the upper Midwest, but we sure got the wind and freezing temperatures! It was gusting up to 50 mph for most of the past two days. It has finally died down today, we haven't got above the freezing point all day...sure would like a little bit of snow to make it feel warmer.
I started the table with a white damask table cloth and napkins from my stash. I tried layering with just white plates but it was just too stark, so out came the acrylic charger plates I used last week...I didn't care for them, they kind of just blended in with the white of the plates...then I remembered I was going to use the silver trays as charger plates. Oh, what a big difference, so much better!
I layered the plates onto the Oneida silverplated tray starting with Sears Federalist Ironstone, Enoch Wedgwood Hedge Rose, the plate with the pretty raised edging just has a B in a shield stamped on the underside (made in China), and finally the cutest plate with raised pine cones, made by BIA. I found them at TJMaxx a couple months ago.
I don't know the maker or pattern of the "water" glass. I think it may be a parfait glass but am using it for water, tea or lemonade. The wine stems are Towle Leyland.
The centerpiece is some silver glass candlesticks with silver glass tree ornaments, two papier- mâché reindeer, 4 small clear glass votives and the short silverplated candle with very tall candles.
Close up of the reindeer.
White on white is very difficult for me to photograph, so I apologize for the poor quality of the photos. Having a window with white sheers right behind the table doesn't help matters, either.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog...I really appreciate all the comments, that is the only way I can tell who has visited.
I would like to wish you each a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy New Year!

Do Snowmen Really Turn Aqua When They Are Cold?
It is that time of week for Tablescape Thursday when we get show off our latest table at Between Naps On The Porch. Thank you, Susan for hosting my favorite weekly meme. To see other fabulous tablescapes, go to Susan's website...I promise, you will not be disappointed.

The inspiration for this week's table came from the aqua snowman I spotted at Savers last week...I can't resist anything, either green or aqua. If they were the only two colors, I would be very happy. That was the only item I bought for this table, everything else I already had. This cute little snowman was only $2.99 and he had just been put out seconds before I grabbed him up. I saw him in the stocker's cart so I waited until she barely had him on the shelf before he was in my hands. There were several shoppers that commented, they wished they had seen him first! The snowman was hard to photo to get the true color, because it is a metallic-like paint.
Each table setting is very simple, a silver charger plate, dinner plate, a salad plate, a water glass and a wine glass.
Several of you have these same plates so I won't bore you with the individual shots of each plate. I have them in several colors, I really like the edges on these plates. The sterling flatware is Oneida Afterglow 1956.
The glassware is also aqua...water glass is Indiana Glass Recollection, which is a 1982 reproduction of the depression glass pattern Madrid. (I also have these in pink.) The wine glass is Noritake Sweet Swirl (1988-1994).
The aqua pine cones, clip on birds and orbs are just Christmas ornaments. I put a piece of white posterboard behind the snowman and used the flash so you could get a better view of him.
A shot of the table.
Cute little snowman!
I came across the cutest blog, quite by accident...if you love mice, check this site out! Mouses Houses This one of the most talented artist around blogland.
Thank you for taking the time to visit with me today...hope you will leave a comment so I know you have been here!

Junkin Finds Friday
I can't believe it is already time for Junkin Finds Friday with Linda of A la Carte. Linda, thanks for hosting this fun meme...make sure you check out all the other finds and hopefully, keeps!

I haven't had much luck thrifting until today...I found two Pashmina scarves for $1.99 each at Goodwill...one is a solid lime and the other is dark brown, almost black with a burnt orange with metallic gold threads throughout. They are both about 36"x80". I also found rattan charger plates, $1.99 for all four, 4 white dinner plates 49¢ each and a reversible quilted tablecloth, which was $4.49, which is more than I usually pay for a tablecloth at a thrift store.
There are a couple of other goodies that you will have to wait to see later in the month...possibly in a tablescape!
The scarves are incredibly soft...can you tell how much I love them? They were crammed in with the sheets, pillowcases, curtains, napkins, etc. I had to work to get them out far enough to see them. When I saw what they were, they went into my cart faster than you can blink!
The color of this one is very warm and rich, this photo makes it looked washed out, possibly by the time I got home the lighting wasn't very good so I had to use the flash.
Thanks for stopping by today, leave a comment so I know that you were here!
