First Thrifty Items Of 2011!

I am always late to the party, but am going to join Linda at A la Carte for Junkin Finds Friday. Thanks for hosting this fun meme each week. It is fun seeing what others have found since last week. Make sure you click onto Linda's site so you can drool, too!

To enlarge any picture, just click on it.

I hadn't been thrifting since before Christmas and needed a fix! This is what 2011 has brought so far. I didn't find any dishes that I wanted to bring home, which is unusual for me. But...I did find some linens, a fun pitcher, some yellow stemware, which has been elusive until now, some yellow/blue candle sticks and a large salad bowl. I did find a couple pieces of silverplate that I am saving for next time.

These Vera napkins are brand new. I have quite a few orange dishes they will look great with.

Some of the other linens are green/white checked napkins, orange plaid napkins a green/tan/rust tablecloth, a pale green Damask tablecloth and reversible yellow print placemats. Look for something in the way of a yellow table in the near future.

I have been on the hunt for yellow stemware for quite some time, finally found it at $2.99 for the four. The blue/yellow/green pitcher is perfect for lemonade.

The candlesticks look a little French with the yellow and blue or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

Marigene,
Thank you for visitng On Crooked Creek today with your kind comment.
Yes. .. one of my past post was titled, Plate addict Lives Here. . .
Those aqua (blue) plates were purchased at Iron Star in Fort Scott. The bowls and saucers were purchased at Paramount Antique Mall. I don't have a complete set yet, so I'm always "on the hunt" to complete for a service for 8.
I adored your place mats on the table today! I have a matching tablecloth, but no placemats were at our store. Stop by again soon!
Fondly,
Pat

Thanks so much for visiting and your comments. I thought that was so funny you commented what you did on the pink trees because usually I'm not a big fan of pink things but these really got my attention too! LOL! I just love your finds as well. You can never have enough napkins IMOP. Those were great but I really love your candlesticks. I do think they are very french country. I remember seeing these in the stores when they first came out. I liked them very much then and I still like them now too. Enjoy!
