Red, White and Cheery!

It's hard to believe another week has flown by and is, once again, time for Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch with Susan.

To enlarge any picture, just click on it.

Seeing the sun has been shining the past few days made me want to set a bright, cheery, simple table.

The placemats have the same colors as the plates and I used a plain red, fringed napkin.

The hexagonal charger plates were bought at TJMaxx. There is no maker or pattern backstamp, but says they are microwave/dishwasher safe, produced in Portugal. The beading around them is similar to the beading on the dinner plate.

The hexagonal dinner plates with tiny beading around the edges I picked up last year at Goodwill. I thought they would look good for spring or early summer. They are Johnson Bros. Ming pattern, circa 1974-1978.

The salad bowl is plain red, no markings, therefore nothing is known about it. Another thrift store purchase.

Blue glassware is a tumbler and a wine stem.

The flatware is Oneida Afterglow circa 1956.

Rim shot.

Placesetting.

Entire table.

The centerpiece is a mixture of real and faux flowers.

Candlelit table.

Thank you all who are nice enough to leave a comment letting me know you have enjoyed your visit here. I hope you come back often.

Is the GOP coming to dinner? jk I love the placemats and the overall affect of the table. I did not think I would like the good ol fashioned red, white and blue, but this looks great together. My hat goes off to you!

Very happy looking table, Marigene! I love RED!! This could go either way...looking a wee bit Oriental or even somewhat PA Dutch, to me. Of course, it will be perfect for Memorial Day, too.
Well done!

fondly,
Rett

p.s. Sorry you didn't get to enjoy your lilacs much this year. Bummer!

What is it about certain colors? Red certainly is so cherry and whenever you see it, it just brightens your day. What gorgeous placemats - almost a shame to cover up all that beauty. I love the hexagonal shape. That is so unusual and fun. Great table.

Very cheery for sure! Love the placemats, and also that you mixed real and faux flowers for your centerpiece. I like to add greenery from the yard to faux flowers to give them a more realistic look as well!

Thanks for sharing!
