Pumpkin Patch

I have used the same tablecloth as last week, this time with orange dishes. Quite a different look, I would say.

The orange charger/dinner plate is the first layer of the place setting.

I used the same aqua salad plate I used with the purple last week, to bring out the bits of aqua/teal in the tablecloth.

Next is the pumpkin salad/dessert plate, followed by a small pumpkin soup bowl.

The glassware is a tangerine Noritake Perspective water stem. I also have the tall champagne/sherbets, too.

I opted to use a plain pumpkin orange napkin with a simple fold.

I tried two centerpieces and finally settled on the taller, sparser one. No candles as this table will be used for a luncheon with friends.

Rim shot!

Do you have a favorite between this week and last week's table...purple or orange? I like both, but think the purple edges out the orange by a hair!

The orange definitely has my vote! Orange used to be my favorite color until I learned that my skin tone doesn't like orange!.....
love you,

Love the tangerine glasses, they look so bright along with the pumpkin plates and bowls. They do go well together. As to whether we liked the purple or orange better. Although I like them both, my vote would be last weeks, I was just so impressed how you put the purple plate with colored leaves and the purple glasses together, how it pulled all the colors from the table cloth. I love that tablecloth and what a different look you achieved this week with the orange. Love it and the plate stack. Cute pumpkins bowls. I agree the purple edges out the orange by just a hair. Maybe because the purple is so different this time of year. Great job! Hugs, Linda

Hmmm, really hard to pick a favorite! The purple is more elegant, and I love the deep richness of it. The orange is more fun and vibrant. I love them both!

Hmmmm...I don't know, Marigene. I'm an orange girl through and through, so I'm going to have to vote orange just because! :-) I love purple, too, but if you were to twist my arm, put a gun to my head, waterboard me, put matchsticks under my fingernails, drive nails in my skull, and make me listen to rap music, I would have to go with the orange! :-) I love how you created a completely different look with just the switch of the predominant color!

Wow, Marigene, what a great look with the same tablecloth. I vote for both looks and best of all you didn't have to change the cloth, just the dishes.

Hi Marigene, I like both tables--isn't it amazing how different the two tables are with the same tablecloth? I love the tablecloth and can imagine even more combinations with it, from simple settings to more elaborate. Linda

Zoulah and I vote for the orange. I have never seen such vibrant orange tumblers and I also love the orange charger and the bright orange napkin. Love both of the centerpieces, but I am liking the arrangement with the pieces that droop down. Such a vibrant table. Joni
