Luncheon Using Noritake Luray

As promised, here is the table for the luncheon last week using the pattern in my header...Noritake Luray.

We enjoyed Norma's Potato Soup, Cannellini Bean Soup and Vegetable Chowder...dessert was Sandy's Chocolate Cake and Maraschino Cherry Brownies. Most of all we enjoyed each other's company!

I bought 4 cream soups from eBay recently that were listed as Luray, but while washing them, I discovered they are not...they are close enough that I will use them anyway. Above is one of them...there is no pattern name on the backstamp, but can tell they are from the same era by the Noritake shield.

Thanks for taking the time to visit today...do come back next time.

What a nice surprise to have a tablescape on a snowy Monday. Snow has stopped but the high winds are scary. A gal at my church makes brownies with cherries that my husband loves. Such a fabulous luncheon and the table looks too pretty to sit at.

Every time I open your blog and see that gorgeous china in your header, I sigh. Seeing it on the table is a real treat. If you hadn't said anything about it, I wouldn't have realized that the cream soups were not the same pattern. I know your friends felt special, dining at this gorgeous table. laurie

I always love seeing the gorgeous Luray pattern in your header, and getting to see a whole table of it is a treat! Cream soup bowls are such darling pieces and add so much charm to the table, I think! I love the idea of a soup luncheon, especially in January! I know your guests loved your pretty table.

Marigene, Marigene, Marigene...you GO, girl!!! What a beautifully set table!!! I just love it when beautiful dishes and accessories are able to be enjoyed by friends and family! I know the "girls" just loved everything and appreciated the effort you put into making such a fabulous space for them to dine in style!!!

I have quit getting email alerts when you post. Not just you...a lot of other bloggers, too. I'm not sure why that is. I just re-subscribed and am hoping that fixes the problem once and for all.

It's hard to believe that cream soup dish isn't actually the "Luray" because it DOES look the same! As long as you got a good deal on them and they look that close...it's a great day!!!

I hope you're doing OK out there "in the middle of nowhere" with all the high winds we've been having. My Mom & I were nearly blown away while out shopping recently! Since when did we become Chicago-esque with all this "windy city" stuff??!?!? :-)

Have a wonderful week, sweetie pumpkin, and thanks for sharing this g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s table!!!!!
