Gold On Black

Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch is once again upon us. Thank you, Susan, for hosting this meme that gives us all so much inspiration.

You can enlarge any photo just by clicking on it.

Inspiration this week came from a tablecloth found at Savers. It is a fairly heavy material in black with a gold repetitive pattern and fringe. Something about it caught my eye immediately, plus I had just the right dishes to go with it, too!

I bought the pear shaped soup bowls at the end of summer, but didn't have a clue what I would use them with, so they have been sitting on the shelf just waiting to make their debut. They were the perfect color for this table.

A very simple place setting of dinner, salad plates and a soup bowl were enough with this tablecloth.

The short stack!

The glassware is made by Indiana Glass; the pattern is Diamond Point, which was introduced in 1965 and continued through the 1980's. Amber was one of the many colors this pattern came in.

The centerpiece.
