My lilacs are in full bloom, but will be gone in a couple days if we get the temperatures the weatherman is forecasting, upper 80's.
This week my inspiration comes from the triangular plates I found at Goodwill a few weeks ago...you know me and green, those babies hopped right into my cart!
***I forgot to add they were 99¢ each and got them on 25% senior discount Tuesday, so the cost was 74¢.
I started with my all-time favorite tablecloth, it is dark cream/ecru. It was given to me by my sister a few years ago.
The plates are quite large, 11½"x11¾". They are almost completely flat, no lip or well to keep the food on the plate. There is a backstamp, but it is so light I can't make it out on any of the 8 plates I bought. After Googling, for what seemed like hours, the closest I have come to finding out anything about them is the maker is possibly Festiware, which is restaurantware. If anyone has any ideas on the maker, please let me know. They were hard to photo without getting reflections.
The salad plates are octagonal with a bamboo-like rim and the same shade of green as the dinner plate. Each plate has a different fern in the center. These were bought at Goodwill a couple years ago. They were in the bottom of the hutch and I had forgotten about them until I was looking for storage for the dinner plate...oops! The only thing on the back is Made In Italy.
I have lots of napkins with green, but thought these with a tiny polka dot looked the best. I used bee napkin rings, just because! Being the right shade of green I have used The Madeline flatware from World Market.
The green candle holders also have that bamboo look. I used a metal urn for the white faux roses.
*** Added after I hit post.

I was going to use a mini rose for the centerpiece, but my naughty kitty ate most of the leaves...it is amazing she didn't have an upset stomach...it outside on the porch, so she can't dine on it any longer!
