Fall is in the air...

Edited to add picture of the mantle.

Fall is in the air...our lawn is finally turning from green to brown and the leaves are beginning to turn and drop. Soon it will be time to get the rake out of storage for the never ending supply of leaves. I swear all the neighbors' leaves end up in our yard!

I love this time of year...soup making weather, walking in crunchy leaves and of course Halloween is right around the corner, with the little ones in their costumes. Oh and best of all......the windows and doors can be open...if you live in the midwest you will understand that comment!

I spent the early afternoon putting together this little bouquet for the dining room table out of some very inexpensive faux flowers.

The door wreath is one I made a couple years ago, it is starting to look tired, this will be the last year I will use it. I just noticed the birds are even drooping!

I finally finished the mantle...hope everyone LOVES candy corn because there is more than enough to go around! The Norman Rockwell print is one of our favorites, especially this time of year...reminds my husband of once upon a time ago.

Thanks for visiting.

Very pretty!
No leaves falling here yet, Dorothy..LOL
Kansas must lose its leaves earlier than NY.

I feel like you birds, a little droopy! (though they look fine to me) Fluff their feathers, give them a little hair spray, they will be fine..:)

It felt as if I were writing this post, Mimi!! I have just started to try my hand at making my own silk flower arrangments...what fun!! The possibilities are endless!! Your arrangement is lovely, and so is your wreath. Will you repair it or start over??

I love fall for all of the reasons you do. Not so crazy about all of those leaves but it's good exercise! lol!!

Happy weekend!! :-)

Really nice fall arrangements..
Our leaves here in West Texas are still on the trees...not too many falling as yet.

Oh YES.....I love fall too. Isn't it lovely? Everything smells so fresh and crisp. Spring is my favorite season, but Fall is a close 2nd.

Blessings,
