Thrifty Thursday No. 2

Here it is Thursday again....make sure you stop by Leigh of Thrifty Thursday at Bloggeritaville to see what all the other great thrifters have been doing this week. You can click on the picture to make it larger.

Thrifting was pretty lean this week. I hit a couple different Goodwill's and the only things I came up with were 4 clear water glasses for 37¢ each and 3 crystal, yes real crystal wine glasses for $1.48 each. The mercury glass candleholder was not part of the loot this week but sure would love to find a couple like them at the thrift shops!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Recently I have seen a LOT of projects using glasses like the ones you found. The items that I saw used clear platters or plates to make pedestals, some with multiple tiers. If you like to make things, that might be an option!

Those are all very pretty finds.

Have a great day!

Wow! I wonder if the three glasses on my left are Waterford Crystal. My Mom had the same looking pattern. Her shelf on her china cabinet broke about 15 years ago and they all were smashed except for one. At the time they were insured for $125 ea. The rims on them were so thin, like paper. You might have got yourself a good find there! Hope you have a great TT, and Happy Halloween : ) http://web.me.com/lavenderfields

Nice finds and cheap too. My Goodwill seems to start nearly everything worth buying at no lower than 1.99. I am looking for some little cordial glasses. I'd love to find some crystal ones!
