The Blue Rooster

Goodness, it is Tablescape Thursday already...my favorite day of the week! Thank you, Susan of Between Naps On the Porch, for hosting Tablescape Thursday.

Blue and white seem to be the color this month, so far. I know there are a few pieces you have already seen in past posts, but they went so well I used them again in this tablescape. I am working on getting something other than red/white/blue for a future post.

Monday was a great day at the thrift stores! On my trip to Goodwill, for the Monday senior discount, I found 4 water goblets 74¢ each and 4 wine stems for 37¢ each. At my local ARC Thrift Store I found a serving bowl in red transferware, 8 crystal sherry glasses and a set of brand new, still in the box blue and white rooster dishes service for four. I have been looking for these dishes for a couple of years after buying a couple of soup bowls and a plate at a yard sale. I paid $30 for all.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by...hope you all have enjoyed your visit this week.

I know you will enjoy stopping to visit with our hostess, Susan, of Between Naps On the Porch...she has many more guests you will want to check out!

Those plates are so pretty! You know I don't like roosters, but in blue I'd let them in!
Great bargains, my dear! Love the glasses..
If you win my give away I'll sub something different for the napkins since you already have them!

Blue and white is so classic and you've made it a fun setting with the roosters. I'm particularly fond of the blue stemware.

You are definitely on my visit often list now. Blue, blue, blue! I love them! Gosh, I am going to have so much fun now that I've rediscovered tablescaping! My husband has had us eating from plain white correlle plates for too long! HE cooks so I can't really complaing but maybe on Thurdays I can do a tablescape....it will have to be for lunch this week since breakfast and dinner are taken!
