Monday Thrifting in KC...

I am joining Thrifty Thursday with Leigh at Tales From Bloggeritaville. Make sure you stop by to visit with her other guests.

Yes, we braved the cold to go to Kansas City yesterday to do a little Christmas and Costco shopping.

Of course, I stopped at a couple thrift shops, namely Goodwill and Savers. I found several tablecloths (Christmas plaid, fall scene, red/yellow floral, small white Battenburg type, and a toile) white candles, a little Mikasa 'Salina' crystal covered butter dish, a clear glass candlestick, 2-4 packs of red/silver snowflake glass Christmas balls, bunny salt/peppers. At Savers I spotted green napkins that match perfectly my new St. Patrick's tablecloth I got off e-Bay, not long ago. While in TJMaxx I found, hidden on a bottom sale shelf, the robin's egg blue dinner plates for $2 each and tons of glass Christmas ornaments; they weren't on sale, though the price was better than some places we went. It wasn't as fruitful as many other times I have been.

This picture doesn't really do the decorations justice, they are much brighter and in the picture the silver looks like clear glass.

I wanted to get down to the local ARC today but with the raining/sleeting day we are having, I think I will stay put.....there is always another day!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, it is very much appreciated. I do love comments and try to answer all of them.

You did great. Seems like I've been finding a lot of tablecloths lately also. I got some blue plates at Marshall's mine were $1 each (only two) and 70 cents each for 2 salad plates. Looks like it might be the same pattern....good deals!

Still an honest haul.... The ornaments are lovely. Are they clear or silver?

You found some great stuff. What part of KC were you shopping in? I live in the general area of the KC airport...we have some great thrift stores but no Costco.
Glad you had a successful trip to KC.
