A Little Bit of Cheer...

It is Tablescape Thursday with Susan of Between Naps On the Porch. Thanks for hosting, once again.
You can click on the pictures to enlarge them.

Tonight I am using my thrift shop dinnerware, Arcopal and the pattern is Provincial; it is white, looks like milk glass but is translucent, with red, green and blue flowers. I first found the dishes at a thrift store down in Fort Scott, Kansas and the other part at Goodwill in Ottawa, Kansas. I have 4-piece place settings, service for 4. I am on the look out for 4 more salad plates, 4 cups and 2 soup/cereal bowls, for 8 place settings. I am sure they will show up at one of my thrifting haunts, when I am least expecting to see them, just like the soup/cereal bowls and a few more dinner plates did recently. I looked them up at Replacements. Ltd. and was floored at their asking prices.

The dinner and salad plates have the same bright floral center design.

The cup and bowls have the same pattern design.

Closeup of the wine glass. I love the shade of blue they are.

The centerpiece is just an old pitcher with faux sunflowers and a few roosters from my collection.

My little AJ tried to get in the way....oops, I mean help out! He is a tailless feral that was born the day of our big straight line wind storm back in July...sweetest kitty I have ever owned. He now is one of 6 neutered/spayed kitties living in our home. I fed his mama/sister/brother and found them all good homes, too!

Let's roll the credits!
Dinner/salad plates/soup cereal bowl/cup-Thrift store (most were 37¢ each)
Blue wine glasses-Thrift store
Sterling (Afterglow 1956)-family, the soup spoons are Rogers & Bro. A1 IS silverplate, I haven't had time to look up the pattern...99¢ each
Blue salt/pepper shakers-Thrift store
Little cow milk pitcher-estate sale probably 20 years ago
Individual butter bells-TJMaxx
Clear candlesticks-Probably the thrift store, they have been around for years
Blue linen tablecloth-Thrift store
Napkins-Not really sure, may have been Walmart years ago
Silver napkin rings-Burlington Coat Factory, several years ago
Centerpiece-pieces I have had for several years

Thanks for stopping by today...make sure you go check out Between Naps On the Porch so you can see more great tables.

I love your beautiful dishes...I did the same thing with a couple sets of thrifted dishes...finding out pieces are waaay more than I paid for mine. That makes it hard to add to our dishes but maybe we can add one piece at a time....:)

I always love it when the kitties try to help! I really like the design on those plates and it sets a very nice table. I have those same blue wine glasses and got mine at thrift stores one at a time until I have 6 (I think or is it 8 now??) Oh well such great bargains and such a pretty table.

Lovely table and I love your dishes -- what a find! The roosters are cute! I love roosters, but alas, very few live at Linderhof!

But being a fan of chickens or roosters, no matter what you did I'd like it anyway!!

Thanks for stopping at my blog! I had looked at your tablescape and was really loving those dishes, but I didn't realize until you mentioned it that we have the same napkin rings, so I had to come back and look again! And they are the same! I think I got mine at Linens n' Things. I love flowers and those dishes are beautiful and what a great find! How lucky that you've been able to find more!
