Silver Sunday #2 For Me!

The coffee service was from Goodwill, the tray from my sister-in-law, Rondi.

I will be joining the Silver Sunday party, again this week. Thank you for hosting this each week, Beth. Make sure you stop by Gypsy Fish Journal to see what everyone is showcasing this week.

Anyone that has read my blog knows that most of my "silver" has come from thrift stores or yard sales.

Today, I will show you a few of my favorite pieces. None of it is worth a whole lot but they make me smile each time I walk by.

Four little silver cups, maybe mint juleps?
I found these at Goodwill for 50¢ each.
I will use them as votive holders or individual vases.

This 6 bottle castor set was found in Hilliard, Ohio, this past fall. I couldn't pass it up, all the bottles appear to be originals, plus the price was right! The bottles are all etched.
The candlesticks are from, where else, but Goodwill.
Finally the sugar scuttle is a recent purchase from e-Bay.
It has some pitting which doesn't really bother me.
On a recent blog, I am sorry, I can't remember whose,
I noticed they were using their scuttle as a nut holder...I thought it would make a cute M & M candy dish.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting! It is very much appreciated.

Thrift store finds are always so much fun! If it makes you happy then it doesn't matter what other people think it is worth. :-) I really like the little oil and vinegar cruet set.

If this is what you find at the Goodwill, I have to go shopping.
I've donated things to them, but they want it dropped at the back door. Next time, I'll have to go round to the front door.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I got to find a new blog! :) Don't you just love the silver you can find at Good will and other such shops! you found some really great things. I am not sure what my spoons are in. It is old ironstone but larger than any sugar bowl I have seen-- I am not very informed on serving pieces and what they might be.
