My Thrift Store Tablescape...

It is once again time to join Susan, of Between Naps On The Porch, for the weekly Tablescape Thursday. Thanks for hosting, Susan. Please be sure to drop by Susan's porch to see how everyone else has set their table for tonight.

You can click on any of the pictures to enlarge them.

I found the bright yellow tablecloth and napkins at Saver's the other day so that was the beginning of tonight's table. I didn't realize that I had so little, in the way of plain blue dishes. That will have to be remedied! I would have preferred a brighter more cobalt blue, but since there was none in the house I went with what I had.
I am sure there are some pieces in this tablescape that seem very familiar; chances are you will see them in a future post, too!

All of the dishes are either solid yellow or blue. The tablecloth is actually much, much brighter than it is showing up in the pictures.

To add a little whimsy, all different patterned silverplate was used at each setting.

Amber water and wine glasses.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today with your comments on the care of silver. I know deep down that I just need to put a little extra care into the silverware and just enjoy it! I love the way you have mixed up your patterns. Also, plaid napkins are a favorite of mine. Take care, Sally

I think one of the prettiest and homiest combinations of color are yellow and blue. The plaid goes perfectly with the dishes and I loved that tureen.

Hi Mimi!

I love your blue and yellow dishes! They look wonderful. Although I think colbolt blue would have looked nice too, I actually prefer this color of blue for this table because it is different.
