The Gift of Green...

It is another Tablescape Thursday with our hostess, Susan of Between Naps On The Porch. Please do stop by BNOTP to see what all the other beautiful tables look like, you will be in for a treat.

This tablescape was inspired by a gift from my sister, as set of four rooster chargers and four sherbet dishes. The chargers are a medium olive green with 5 roosters and a honeycomb center, maybe it is supposed to be chicken wire. She had heard me say that I didn't have a very large variety of green dishes, although green is my favorite color, so she was a sweetie and added to my addiction. Thank you, Jerry!

After checking the dish cupboard, I came up with solid green dinner plates, cream salad plates, yellow soup bowls, 5¼-inch cream/green bread plates and the green sherbets.

The rooster tureen, which was another gift, about 5 years ago from a GW friend from New Jersey. Thanks, Sheryl!

Close up of the layers used tonight.
