It's A Plaid, Plaid World...

I will be joining the Tablescape Thursday party at Between Naps On The Porch. Thank you, Susan, for hosting this favorite of mine! Be sure to follow the link so you won't miss out on any of the special tables everyone has set this week.

To enlarge any of the pictures, just click on it.

I am not sure which was the inspiration, the plates or the tablecloth, for this week's tablescape.

The plaid tablecloth was a recent find at Savers. The napkins were also a Savers purchase a while back.

The plates are stoneware by Hearthside, the pattern is Mayblossom. The plates are pretty large 10¾-inches. They are tan, dark brown and white flowers. These were found on one of my trips to Sally's (Salvation Army).

The salad plate is Oneida Classic found a couple months ago at Savers.

I have had the green stemware for at least 15 years, probably closer to 20. I bought it at World Market in Phoenix.

The only thing blossoming really good, other than correopsis, is lavender right now, so I grabbed a handful, a few small hosta leaves and a couple Swedish ivy plants that haven't made it into the hanging basket on the back porch, yet. I really like the bright purple with the green/brown/white of the table.

The candle holders also came from the thrift stores...like almost everything else!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, it is always appreciated when you leave a comment so that I know you have been here!

Mimi, what a cheery table you have set here with the plaid and the brown! Love the centerpiece. I wish I had a garden to get cuttings for arrangements. My thumb, however, is brown..... thanks for stopping by to comment on my thrifty finds. It was a fun week. Now if I can just get that stuff stored away... LOL

Mimi, I love your plaid tablecloth and the way you used the green and browns and then added your beautiful centerpiece with the lavendar, just stunning! I’m happy you stopped by for a visit and enjoyed my Tabletop Tuesday ~ Mantel Vignette. I love how a few simple changes can make a big impact. I enjoy thinking up new ways to use things I already have in my home to give a different look to a room!

Another great setting with a little less color but eye-pleasing nonetheless. The lavender sets it off. Good job.
