Pale Yellow

It's that special time of the week...Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan of Between Naps On the Porch. Thank you, Susan, for hosting my favorite meme. Please take the time to visit all the other tablescapers this week, you will be in for many surprises.

You can enlarge any picture by clicking on it.

My little sister, Judy, wanted to know why I didn't do a yellow table...it is her favorite color. I don't have many yellow dishes, that is why! I hunted around the cupboards and found that I did have enough to do one with some dishes you haven't seen. Jude, if you were looking for a bright yellow, sorry!

The crocheted tablecloth was a gift and the napkins came from Savers several months ago.

The Bordallo-Pinheiro bunny dinner plates are the same ones I used for Easter.

The salad plates are unmarked on the bottom, so I don't know the maker or pattern. They are a nice cream color with birds, plants and dragonflies on the rims.

The soup bowls are a very pale yellow with a couple of darker gold bands and two bands of 24K gold and little pink and yellow flowers in the bottom of the bowl. They are made by Crooksville China Company. The back is marked 84O. I haven't been able to identify the pattern.

The lemonade glasses, unknown maker/pattern, are a recent thrift store purchase and the wine glasses are Indiana King's Crown/Thumbprint pattern.

The silverware is Oneida Afterglow1956.

The flowers are from my front yard; coreopsis, rudbeckia, achillea and various leaves.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog...it is always appreciated!

We are under a tornado watch until 9 PM tonight...

I love yellow! And the way you mixed your beautiful pale yellow dishes together is masterful. Not overpowering, but perfectly blended to keep the serene feel, yet very interesting. A perfect ballance!!!!!!
Your flowers are so pretty and they lend themselves to the elegence of the lace tablecloth.
You really know how to put together an interesting and beautiful table. I always know I am in for a treat when I visit.
I would love to sip some lemonade with you!

I hope you stay safe...we have nasty weather coming our way as well. Yellow is such a happy color. I don't use it often, but seeing your table makes me want to. I love the crystal goblets and your bunny plates are darling. It all works very well together.

As I have told you before, I run out of things to say about your gorgeous, magnificent tablescapes. How nice that you did one that Judy (Jude) would really like. I told you it would cool down once I changed to summer bedding and it did! Love from Vermont. Brenda

Love those bunny plates! I have a set of six green bunny salad plates. I actually have a pretty good size collection of majolica and garden plates. I just have to get time to get them posted...

Oh, I was lucky enough to find three more of those blue goblets. So now thanks to you I have a set of six!

Also, thanks for your prayers for my family.

Talk to you soon ;)

Love your pretty crooksville china -- such a delicate little single flower on each plate. I have some Crooskville serving platters and covered vegetable bowl I love -- sounds like a great upcoming tablescape. This is all so pretty.

I think your yellow table is darling. I don't do yellow very often either. In fact, I don't think I've done one since I've been doing Tablescape Thurs. Maybe next week???

I love those bunny plates.

Your flowers are very pretty too!

Mimi,
how pretty the soup plates and the yellow crystal accomplish the yellow chargers. And with the yellow flowers the table is really perfect. I am sure your sister is as thrilled about that table as we are.

Thanks for stopping by, Yes, I will need all 60 hours plus!
I have windows to wash, a porch to scrub, bedding to air and sooooo much stuff to put back away.
I don't write about this, but I have a medical issue that keeps me working quite slowly. So what used to take me no time at all, takes me much longer! But things could be worse. So I try to go at my own pace.
So nice to touch base with you today!

Mimi..what a very nice table you have set. Simply lovely. The lace tablecloth caught my eye. I am always watching for them in garage sales..or on ebay. I love crochet.
To me yellow reminds me of sunshine, and of my mother who's favorite color it was.
Thank you for your sweet visit!
