I'm In The Green!

I will be joining, for the second week, Linda of A La Carte for Junkin Finds Friday. Thanks for hosting this fun meme, Linda!

To enlarge any picture, just click on it.

Anyone that knows me, knows green is my favorite color. When I see anything green I stop to check it out. On a recent trip to the thrift store I found 4 green dinner plates and 4 luncheon or salad plates. I love going to the thrift stores, you just never know what you will find...sometimes lots of things and others, nothing, which believe it or not has happened to me many times. The dinner plates are stamped Holiday Home. The cream with the wide green border are Taylor Smith Taylor USA with the #2512 stamped on the bottom. You will see these in a future tablescape, I am sure!

You know how some birds are attracted to shiny objects, well so am I on occasion! Yesterday I found a couple silver metal candle holders that I may use in the upcoming WHITE Christmas/Winter White Event to be hosted by Cuisine Kathleen on December 15. I don't think they are even silverplate, just shiny metal!

Thanks for stopping by, now be sure to stop by A La Carte to see what treasure other visitors have found.

Mimi, what great finds you ran across. The dishes are awesome. Can't wait to see them in a tablescape. No matter what metal the candlesticks are made from, they look great. It's funny, when you get those type of things home, in a different atmosphere, how great they look. You did good girl!
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it. I had been gone so long I was afraid no one would visit. Hugs, Ginger

I am very jealous! I don't have any deep green plates, they are hard to find, esp with the decorative edges. I love them.
Thanks for the mention and those candlesticks are great!

I like those candlesticks. In the picture, they could pass for pewter.

I am going to join in Kathleen's Winter White Party too. See you there!
