Do Snowmen Really Turn Aqua When They Are Cold?

It is that time of week for Tablescape Thursday when we get show off our latest table at Between Naps On The Porch. Thank you, Susan for hosting my favorite weekly meme. To see other fabulous tablescapes, go to Susan's website...I promise, you will not be disappointed.

To enlarge any photo, just click on it.

The inspiration for this week's table came from the aqua snowman I spotted at Savers last week...I can't resist anything, either green or aqua. If they were the only two colors, I would be very happy. That was the only item I bought for this table, everything else I already had. This cute little snowman was only $2.99 and he had just been put out seconds before I grabbed him up. I saw him in the stocker's cart so I waited until she barely had him on the shelf before he was in my hands. There were several shoppers that commented, they wished they had seen him first! The snowman was hard to photo to get the true color, because it is a metallic-like paint.

Each table setting is very simple, a silver charger plate, dinner plate, a salad plate, a water glass and a wine glass.

Several of you have these same plates so I won't bore you with the individual shots of each plate. I have them in several colors, I really like the edges on these plates. The sterling flatware is Oneida Afterglow 1956.

The glassware is also aqua...water glass is Indiana Glass Recollection, which is a 1982 reproduction of the depression glass pattern Madrid. (I also have these in pink.) The wine glass is Noritake Sweet Swirl (1988-1994).

The aqua pine cones, clip on birds and orbs are just Christmas ornaments. I put a piece of white posterboard behind the snowman and used the flash so you could get a better view of him.

A shot of the table.

Cute little snowman!

I forgot to mention in my comment in regards to your question about our staircase; yes, it is original to the house, although it was not white originally, of course. It was painted by one of the many previous owners of our house!

Well, you've used one of my two favorite color shades in such a beautiful tablescape. I'm always drawn to teal/turquoise, so this one made me smile. I love your textured, embossed dinnerware. It's stunning. Thank you for sharing your charming design and for stopping by my post. Come visit any time. Cherry Kay
