Seaside Tablescape

Summer is in full force in east/central Kansas...that means lots of heat and humidity! It is that time of week when all the tablescapers meet with Susan of Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday.

To enlarge any picture, just click on it.

I decided to do a beach table here in the center of the country where shorelines are unheard of, unless you count the ones at the few lakes around this area.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you will return often. For more inspiration you can visit all the other tablescapes via the link to BNOTP above.

Hi Marigene, I think a seaside table in the middle of the country is a wonderful idea! After all, I'm in New England and I do Mexican and Tuscan, and I'm planning a desert style one too! Variety is the spice of life! Your seabirds make a wonderful centerpiece and I love the blue of your plates. The candlelight shot has such a feeling of the shore at night! Linda

Marigene,
I've been missing your post lately! So glad to find your site with a new post!!!
Lovely Seaside Tablescape for a land locked midwesterner!!! I adore those placemats!!! Great finds!
Eating from this tablescape should help lower the temperature on your side of the Prairie. Send a cool breeze out West, please!
Fondly,
Pat

I love the beachy colors and textures you used in this tablescape. The placemats are perfect! What I like about tablescapes is you can pretend to be anywhere and set the table for it! Great job as always.

I love the seaside table-you're in the middle of the country and I am in the desert, but can still dream of the sea. Love the seashells and seagulls.

Beautiful beachiness! I can smell the ocean and feel the soft breezes.

I love the rattan chargers and the color combinations you have used to evoke the beach. Your centerpiece is also lovely.

Marigene, Love your seascape table with the blues and browns. Great plates and as pretty as the blues shell ones are, I like the white with the swirly accent. It goes so well with the shell and makes me think of waves or seagrass blowing in the wind... see you've transported me there already.:) Very soothing. Hope you have a great
4th of July.

What a great tablescape! I can almost here the sound of sea gulls...Thanks for visiting me at Thistle Creek Cottage. Your question regarding the tablecloth -- It does look very vintage/retro. I've had it for only a few years, I purchased it new.

Many blessings

That looks beautiful! Love your gulls, and the rattan chargers look great!
Happy 4th, Marigene! You should go to Vermont to celebrate!
The gulls here are very annoying. Swoop down and take food right off the bbq~

Beautiful blend of blues, and love those birds! Eggceptional seascape for being in the middle of nowhere. I am afraid yard sales are over for around here. Too hot. Come up and we'll go antiquing and thrifting in the ac.

That tablescape looks like it just might reduce the temp a few degrees.

The mix of glassware reminds me of sea glass and I really like the charger/placemats.

I hope you have a nice 4th.
