Sunny and Bright

The weather people are predicting the worst storm in two years to begin tomorrow...well...we haven't had more than two inches of snow at a time in the last couple of years, so does that mean a few inches?! I am hoping the prediction is like the last time, we got barely a dusting. I am so ready for spring and something green besides my envy of people living in a warmer climate!

It is a beautiful day outside, sunny and lots of blue skies...so I have chosen yellow and blue for this week's table.

For this week's super simple tablescape I started with a very pale yellow damask tablecloth, some may even call it cream colored. The napkins are a linen-looking material, probably some sort of blend, in a bright yellow. The plastic napkin rings are a plain blue.

The charger (actually a dinner plate) has a white center, wide ring of yellow and a narrow edging in blue. The dinner plate is an unmarked creamy white luncheon plate and the salad bowl is pale yellow.

The flatware is Oneida Louisiana that you all have seen dozens of times.

The glassware is seeded blue goblet

I plopped some faux daffies in a little white pitcher and flanked it with white candlesticks and creamy candles and call it a centerpiece!

Thanks for taking time to visit today...I always appreciate it when you take time from your busy day to peek in on my post.

I will be joining a few link-ups this week.

Marigene,
What a lovely tablescape, dear friend!!!
I adore the damask soft buttery yellow tablecloth!!! Those daffies make a beautiful centerpiece combined with your soft yellow candles!!!
Now about that SNOW???
I say "Bring It ON..." I am so~o~o ready for some measurable SNOW...even if the forsythia bush, here on the Prairie, looks like it could burst into bloom!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Stay warm, Marigene! It's fun to see the snow coming down, but I'm ready for spring, too. Your table is in "my" colors of yellow and blue -- love it! That third photo is stunning! We have real daffodils blooming here -- the Quad on campus is lined with them!

Thank you for the hope of spring tablescape, beautiful as always. We got snow last night again. We had a huge storm last week so we aren't lacking for snow here. bbb

The Jonquils are considering poking up their dainty little heads, but they'll certainly be greeted with unexpected winter weather shortly after making their appearance. Your table brings to mind the Jonquils and the Daffodils that herald Spring in such a beautiful way. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

Your table certainly lifted my spirits, Marigene. I never get tired of seeing your pretty flatware and I love those cobalt blue goblets. We actually have daffodils blooming in Texas, but it was cold here today!

Marigene, That table would brighten any day, sunny or rain. Like you I am looking forward to spring. I had to do a double take with your daffs, they sure look like the real deal. Love the tablecloth, and I love yellow and blue together. I love the look you created. Of course I love your Louisiana, it's the one I use for most of my tablescapes. Hope the weather isn't so bad.

Love Daffies and where did you find
them this time of year? I live in Hot Florida and we just can't grow
them, but the stores will sell fresh
soon.
Thanks so much for your sweet comments

Wishing Spring comes to you early.

Well, dear one, the weather guessers got it right this time! You and I both are covered in a blanket of white...which will soon turn that ugly gray-black from people driving and walking on it. No chance of it melting anytime soon, either, as the temps are predicted to stay in the 20s for the most part over the next week. It's a good thing you brought pretty sunshine to your table, because that's the ONLY place you're going to be seeing it for a good while!!! Stay warm, friend!

Daffodils! They always remind me so much of spring. Lovely table setting that you have here. Yellow and blue are one of my favorite color combinations. I like the way, in this instance, and in other blog posts, that you have matched fresh flowers to your table setting. So pretty!

Thank you so much for describing the colors of your pretty tablescape. I am color blind, and always appreciate color descriptions, which help me to learn and get ideas for combinations I may try. Stay cozy.
