Easter Table

Easter is in a few short days and here we are with snow covering the yard. I guess there will be no Easter egg hunt this year!

The colors in this tablecloth are what made me buy it! Aquas, greens, purples and yes, even the pinks. Back in November I treated myself to a few birthday gifts from eBay...some pink and purple Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage leaf plates and bowls that were the price of one plate from most sellers. I am rather excited to use them for my Easter table. The purple plates will be used for dessert and the bowls for the green salad.

The purple flatware matches the dessert plates nicely.

Purple stemware seemed a natural choice...

The centerpiece started with a Fitz and Floyd deviled egg plate held up by 3 little bunnies that I used to lift the vase of tulips up a little bit...this is flanked with Esther Easter bunny and Elmer Easter bunny that I have had for several years. I also added the little black and white salt and peppers.

I tried dying eggs using silk ties...even though 3 said 100% silk only one of them worked, so I am guessing 2 of the ties were not silk! I just dyed the others with food coloring. I will try it again as soon as I find a few more ties!

I hung papier mâché-like eggs from the chandelier.

I really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to visit...thank you.

You've created a gorgeous outside the box Easter tablescape. The orange and purple work beautifully together. This is the first time that I've seen the orange bordallo. I'm not a huge orange fan, but this table might have just converted me. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Happy Easter! Cherry Kay

You did it! You did it! PINK, baby!!!!!!!!! I love it! It looks great with the purple accessories and the really pretty table linen! GREAT idea to elevate the vase with that egg tray!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a cool look!

Most of the snow melted away here today after a very unexpected afternoon of intense sunshine. I am SO glad for that!!! I was starting to get cranky again!

Have a beautiful and blessed Easter, Marigene! I hope your entire weekend is a good one!

Wow, I love your Easter table, Marigene. Your glassware and dishes pick up all the beautiful pastels in your table cloth. That's what an Easter table should look like. Tulips aren't blooming yet here.
