Starting Off The New Year With Gold And White!

Inspiration for this table came in the way of a box of beautiful lines from my friend, Carol in California. In it was this beautiful cutout table topper and napkins. The handwork is exquisite. Thank you again, Carol!

It took a couple false starts before I finally settled on the dishes.
Recently I purchased 13 Royal Bayreuth Chantilly cream soup bowls from eBay at an amazing price, so I knew I wanted to use them on this table, too.

The charger is Royal Stafford topped with a gold unmarked plate. I believe they were originally from TJMaxx where I had purchased them in white, aqua and sage. These were found at Savers a couple months ago.

The glassware is Cris D'Arques Longchamp.

Once again, I have used the Oneida Louisiana flatware. I added the smaller Wm. Rogers soup spoon to go with the cream soups.

The simple lace edged linen napkins are held with a brass napkin ring...I couldn't find the gold beaded ones!

Having been under the weather since right after Christmas, I haven't been out of the house but once, so the centerpiece is a white ceramic pineapple and a couple of candles.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, come back next time.

I sit here in my jammies and robe, eating a plate of pancakes (aren't pancakes - and jammies and robe - just the thing when the wind howls and the trees thrash in the rain?) and think how my food would NOT go with your lovely dishes. But they go great with my tummy - and a cup of hot tea.

I love the golds and shinies and candles and oh that pineapple - my son would be so jealous - he does love pineapple things. The table linens are so wonderful - what a dear friend you must have to send you such loveliness. Everything goes so well together - the silver and crystal just sparkle - perfect for the winter.

I'd like to see more about those square plates in the second picture.

Hope are feeling a lot better - I was down with the cold and cough over Thanksgiving - no fun.

I see you upside down in a spoon. Hee Hee

Marigene, your table is a stunning way to start off the new year. Those linens alone set the stage, then add in the beautiful white and gold dishes, and it all makes a grand statement. Beautiful!

This is such an elegant table! I love the soup bowls and the linens are just beautiful. Sorry to hear you have been sick. I got sick New Years Eve and while I'm much better, I am not well yet. I've only been out a couple times to do errands. There are some bad bugs out there this year.

Hope you are feeling better!
