Another Monochromatic Table

Hope you all are having a great weekend. I am enjoying my grandson, Shaun...we have been cooking/baking up a storm since he arrived. He is a grill cook/caterer at an Air and Space Museum in Arizona.

I started with toile white/lavender place mats and violet napkins held with hammered silver napkin rings. I am not sure why there is a green cast to some of the photos...could be it has something to do with an overcast day...or maybe the fault of the photographer, naw I wouldn't mess them up like that would I!

This week's table was built around Mikasa English Chintz square dinner/charger plates. The dish stack begins with the English Chintz charger, Royal Staffordshire Clarice Cliff Tonquin dinner plate, a lavender Bordallo Pinheiro luncheon plate cabbage and lastly a Tonquin soup/salad plate.

The glassware is amethyst Ivima iced tea.

Deep purple flatware is some I found in a catalogue.

The centerpiece is a bouquet of faux aubergine dahlias in a orchid coffee pot.

Thanks for visiting today, do come back next time.

I will be joining Christine at Table It/Rustic & Refined.

Very pretty, Marigene! I love the blend of purples and lavender. Your table looks very seasonal as the leaves of some of my plants are taking on a hint of purple to them too :) Enjoy your grandson!

Hi, Marigene!Would you believe I was thinking about you the other day, and now I see you visited and left such a nice comment! I've been out of the blogging loop for a while (I really don't know where summer went), but I've often thought of so many of you...so it's really, really nice to hear from you. Your amethyst table is beautiful--that stack is something else-beauty on top of beauty. And the goblets practically made my heart jump...I've wanted just that color for a long time! Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment! ~Zuni

OH, talk about having your name written all over something! I am drooling over everything on this table. I love the transferware and the goblets, but I am swooning over the cabbage plates! I have never seen such a variety of purples.
Sounds like your grandson is a very fun guest to have!

What a beautiful table, Marigene! I just love those purple transferware. I have been trying to collect them but My collection hasn't been progressing. Every purple transferware I see is very expensive....Christine

Whata lovely table, Marigene. I'm in love with the toile placemats that set the stage for all your pretty dishes. Even your flatware and glasses are purple! I know you enjoyed cooking with Shaun. My grandson that I cooked with is only 10, but he's so interested and appreciates good food. Hope you have a happy week!

Your monochromatic table is gorgeous. I've never thought of myself as a "purple person", but I love this! The Clarice Cliff transferware and toile are so pretty, and I especially like the cabbage plates with the transferware.

Gosh, this is pretty, Marigene! I really like shades of purple, and you've mixed them nicely for this tablescape! It's a great transitional table!

I hear you on the overcast day dilemma. Seems like we've have more than our share of those! I didn't pick up on the green cast you spoke of, though, so you're in the clear! :-)

It's cool that you and Shaun can cook together like that. I wish I had a nephew or grandson who enjoyed cooking. I know my son ever being that way is totally out of the question! I blame myself for that one! :-) Ramon will never be a kitchen wiz, either, so I guess I'm on my own!

Very, very pretty and inspiring as we start the move toward true fall weather around here!

I adore your stemware with it's rich hues of purple shining in the natural light.
Lovely dinnerware and I was unaware that Bordallo Pinheiro came in a shade of lavendar. . .simply exquisite!!!
Thanks for sharing this monochromatic tablescape!!!

Marigene, your tables just get better and better. This is gorgeous! I love the Tonquin pattern, the color is just lovely. The glassware, the flatware and even the cabbage plates are just perfectly matched up. I am starting to be a fan of purple again. I had to take a second look at the dahlias in the teapot. They are pretty and very "real" looking. Not to mention the perfect color for the tablescape too. Have a great week..... Candy
