Christmas Is Around The Bend

Christmas is a mere 26 days away...can you believe it?! I am going to try to do a couple tables a week this year.

This table could be just a warm winter table if I left the silver bowl holding the tree and ornaments out.

I am not going to narrate, so just sit back and enjoy!

Marigene, this is so pretty! I love the vintage dishes! I was wondering where you found the 'plaid' bowl and then realized it was reflecting the tablecloth. I think I've eaten too much turkey, it stole my brain! Really this is so pretty. Yay two a week for Dec!!!

It scares me to think how close Christmas is, but I couldn't even think about it until we got through Thanksgiving. Good for you to get an early start in such a charming way.

This is so beautiful and festive, Marigene! You must have an endless supply of glasses. I love the green! I just became fascinated with them recently and got a few gray tinted ones that you may have noticed on my Thanksgiving table. I love the bows on the plate...how about telling us how you made them?? I can't tie a bow for the life of me. The table is gorgeous!

Thanks for your idea on how you make the Brussels sprouts...I'll definitely try it. They are great (and healthy) to throw in soups, too!

A very colorful and festive table Maregene. I think you have the right idea. I am still working on my holiday decorating. Hopefully I will be finished by the weekend. I will also try to do a tablescape each week. The plaid tablecloth is my favorite piece.

Have a wonderful week.

Marigene, Tartan plaid does say the holidays to me. The holly plates grounded by the rattan charger, the stemware, and the flatware are perfect with the tartan plaid of the tablecloth. The napkin tied into a bow and the napkin ring (that is a poinsettia isn't it?) are just lovely. I want to do a couple of tables a week too. I just don't know if I will have the energy. I did 10 tablescape posts last December and it about wore me out. Maybe I better stock up on the Wheaties.

So very pretty Marigene. Vintage dishes are lovely and you have managed to set another pretty table. Happy December. xo

I got so excited when I saw this lovely table because I have loved tartan plaids for as long as I can remember AND I have those same dishes! They get moved into the kitchen cabinets after Thanksgiving and are our "everyday" dishes during the holiday season.

Hey Marigene, I tried to email you, they both failed. Just wanted you to know I've a new computer and am back blogging again. Come on over if you can.

Love that reg and green, two colors that are great together at any time of the year. Hugs xoxoxo Ilene
